When EA let's it be known that C4 Boosting is a method of "cheating" or as you CLAIM - gaining an unfair advantage. We will immediately cease all operations with the explosives. Until then, have a nice day and keep up the complaints. I will never have time to address them all. Most people it seems just enjoy the sport of a good argument it seems.
If you noticed, EA put their foot down and took action when these so called "Knives and Shock Paddles" only Ranked Servers were in effect. People gaining hundreds of points from revives and numerous kills. This quoted by EA games was not normal gameplay and put a ban on all coordinated events like it.
When something of this nature is said with C4 Explosives. Of course we will abide by the EULA and what the game creator lays down as the Law.
Look, these are the RULES for a RANKED BF2 Server for our hosting company.
If you still want to argue over this matter, take it up with them, not me. I don't want our clan getting a bad name over someone named "killer-Ape" having a bad day - going off ranting and raving Friendly Fire off is illegal, etc.
According to our Server provider (MPUK) - Having Friendly Fire OFF with the server Ranked is Legal. If you do not like it - Choose a different server!
EA games will step in if it is to be changed.
I am being so kind as to provide you ALL with the email address for our hosting company. Take your matters up with them and see if you can change what is already written on paper. The picture above is from one of their members but if you still have a knot in your stomach about Friendly Fire being off... take it up with them.

Let me clear things up for you and reveal what took us 3 hours of hard work to discover.
The terminology is called C4 Boosting.
One can achieve this with Friendly Fire off
The highest buildings only require 3 blocks and 1 individual - usually a squad leader so others may spawn on him once the roof has been reached.
The same can be said for vehicles. We have successfully gotten a jeep on top of the highest building in strike at karkand by means of 20 blocks of C4. You're probably going to immediately spit out that we have time on our hands. This is true when the server is empty and we become bored.
My point. Don't Scream hacker, glitcher, exploiter or anything else until you have certain knowledge that this is 100% the case.

To whom are you speaking? I never used "profanity" (unless you're considering the word "crap" profane, in which case I think you need to be a little less uptight and self-righteous).
Using C4 boosting to fool around in an unranked server with your friends is one thing. Boosting a SL up on a roof in a RANKED server to aquire a tactical advantage over the other team is taking advantage of the situation and isn't abiding by the EULA with respect to playing the game as it was intended to be played with regard to earning points fairly.

Fairness can go both ways in anything just like the law can be "stretched."
So is that to say that 2 APCs side by side - full of engineers is cheating? In real life vehicles don't repair themselves now do they... What have you to say about that? Yes if you are stealthy enough to sneak some C4 on them - death would be quick upon them.
If you can honestly get an EA spokesman to come out and lay down the law here. I would happily abide by any advice and ruling he declares on this matter. Perhaps in the new patch it will get fixed, we will find out soon enough.

In my experience, 90% of the servers I join have FF enabled. This is the way it should be.
Turning FF off is pretty much allowed for ranked servers at the moment. Perhaps EA will "fix" this problem soon, perhaps not. I agree that it is a pretty lame tactic (especially when the regulars can "practice" tactics such as getting to otherwise inaccessible areas and use them to dominate against pubbers).
If you have a problem, just switch servers! Some people actually enjoy the gameplay of "FF-off" ... why should we spoil their fun? As I said earlier, the chances of joining one of these servers (at least in my experience) is slim-to-none.
Now we know that some people have a problem with these servers and perhaps some people sent e-mails to EA. I just ignore them - if I accidentally join one, I just exit out and join another...

Well it just shows how unskilled their clan is to have to resort to c4 to get ontop of a building, i dont care really i'll still pwn you and your clan :p
If you cant see that this is obviously not how the game was intended to be played and it is obviously an exploit taking advantage of the ability to jump onto buildings, then you dont deserve to be in control of a ranked server. But im sure you know its an exploit but just trying as hard as you can to make excuses to save yourself from EA

that clan is known for doing this in their server and they allways speak like they had nothing to do with that and they are actually the ones doing the wrong thing most of the times, everyone that complaints about them doing that in the server is allways kicked and banned, the part i like most is that part when he comes here defending his clan and trying to prove in some weird way and with a image full of people who just doesnt care about anything, and wants to make everyone believe that its acceptable to use an exploit that makes u go to apart of the map where u are not supopsed to be, shooting trough the walls.
who are u trying to fool? this is as acceptable as in BF1942 the bug in berlin where ppl would go inside of the building near the russian base and the problem is the same, u can shoot everyone but no one can shoot you.
your clan is going down sooner or later and when it does, u can be sure i'll be laughing my head off :laugh:

i suggest that no one go to that server, at least i'm not goin there again ia went the 1st time along time ago they exploited i said it was wrong along with alot of ppl and we all got kicked and banned, i went again without even noticing that was their server again and the same thing happened again, i would not go trough all this trouble normally but for me what they did and what they do is an insult to any good player's capacity and intelligence and because totalbf2 is a site/forum visited by so many players i tought this would be a good place to make the world know about this exploiters that abuse of their ranked server.

Report the server company to EA, because EA says that FF should be on and it is suggested that it should be set to 100%. If they let their clients turn FF off then they are violating the rules EA has set down for ranked servers.

yeah, exactly. I mean the idiocy of his statements is almost too far gone to comprehend, let alone defend. all ranked servers should be uniform (for the most part), so FF should be on.
I won't even address the in-bred mentality that thinks using C4 to blast yourself up to a high buiding is not an exploit. I mean, come on..... what a moron.

I dunno, From what I can tell EA hasn't set a policy that requires FF to be on on ranked servers... If they say it must be on, then these guys should have their ranked status stripped and never given back... If not, it's their choice how to run their server, and that includes using C4 as a launching tool... If they exploit that by shooting through walls and such, any individual using that exploit should have their cd-key hash banned permanently from all ranked servers... Simple as that, if they are CHEATING, they should be disciplined... If they're just using tactics on a server set up within the legal limits, then I applaud them for their creativity...
