OK, so since I couldn't find an appropriate forum to ask this question, I figured general would suite the question best.
First off, I fly with a joystick, making my helicopter flights more than enjoyable. I'm pretty damn good at dogfighting and holding my own without too many deaths in any helicopter.
However, when it comes to dogfighting in a jet, I either freak out and crash into the ground, or smack straight into an enemy or friendly vehicle.
Is there anyone that could possibly give me hints on how they dogfight, get out of missile locks, out-maneuver other pilots, etc. When I'm stuck without a helicopter, and my only resource other than being infantry (which I don't mind, obviously), I'd like to help my team out with a jet and I just can't seem to do it.
If I switch to the bombs, I'm decent, but nothing as deadly as bombing with the MIG in BF: Vietnam. :)
I have seen some excellent pilots out there, and I figure most of it has to do with practicing, but I also know that some of these fookers can pull stuff off like drop down to 2mph and just wait out and then use their afterburners and un-realistically skim off the ground to safety, taking out several enemies before they go for a re-fuel.
As is, if there are no other "birds" in the sky, I'm not too bad, but as soon as I'm locked on, I do stupid things which end with me being at the respawn screen.
Can anyone help?
Much appreciated in advance, thanks!!!!
PEACE
