Everyone is out to get there stats, and they dont give a rats ass who gets in the way. Its like meth (whitch is allover where i live **Portland OR** Everyong wants that quick fix. Maybe it would be better to just not play the ranked servers, like for real whats to gain from a bunch of numbers, then again its fun to see how bad/good you are doing. What dice should fix is the way you get points, like points in staying in a tight group, more points if you revive a squad member then a team member, completing objectives as a team. Im not going to go in depth but i hope you all feel what i feel, its frazy FFA out there most the time.
Before I post i would like to say a quick story, ok me and my bussy where on a team one was medic other was support. Ok we move as a team all over the map, if one gets shot the other revives after taking the baddie down and Viceversa. In the end (about a halfhour) we had 60/10KD and over 150points. Now if thoes noobs out there want to get mad points they shuld partyup!

O ya also in ghost recon i talk alot of trash (we are all buddies in that game now) and after a match is over everyone congrats eachother and talk more trash. THing is in bf2 you cant do that,after a kill you are looking out for yourself, action is much faster. Also you can chat between games or even control what you are looking at, its that damn loading screen whitch i hate. why did they not make it like ut2004 or ravenshield for that part?

Have noticed the lack of good banter on the servers.

will compliment good shots, or give out a 'lol' in some of the funnnier situations. Always say a gg if it has been also and a cya on leaving.

The only person i rip on for being crap in game is myself.

eg. Trying to snipe an enemy sniper, who just keeps owning you.

In battlefield 1942, everyone would talk and stuff and have a good time and say like, goodshot, gg game, good round, and things like that, u could talk to people and stuff like that...now the only time u see someone say something is when they are insulting calling everyone a noob, or complaining about getting punished for tk.....also now when u go in a server without auto balance its like 27 to 10 people they just dont change teams...and i am not exagerating i just came out of a server like that....and u have people punishing u for running over ur mines....I hope this changes and the community is like how it use to be.... long live the bf1942 community

I agree , there used to be a time when the crack was good in the community and as you say no one has the time cos they wanna get stated up !

You are exactly right.
That's what happaned with Americas Army. It use to be welcoming and fun but now when someone dies they reconnect so they don't mess up their frag rate, people abuse people that kill them, etc.
It's sad.

Modern warfare, modern world.

Though it seems to help if you play MEC or China, a lot more friendly to play on those sides I found out.

Its stuffed up big time now the only chat i ever have heard apart from squad chat is this guy getting pis*ed off at the autoswap and he couldnt get back into his squad.

Exactly the problem. With the addition of ranks and modern warfare (along with adding guns like the M4), all the 10-13 year olds from CS are coming into the community. I cant think of a time in BF42 i saw a guy standing up straifing left and right from behind a building trying to snipe me forgetting that theres a prone feature in the game, but its happened constantly in bf2. They do however tend to play USMC (except for those who think the SVD is the AWP from CS because its semi and they cant aim a bold action gun).

Hopefully most of them will move to special forces when it comes out, and the regular BF2 community will be back.

- no after-game chat (don't know if this was in BF1942 or not)
- no time to chat
- chat messages scroll up too fast because every single "I need a Medic!" and "Ammo here!" gets put in the chat box
- obsession over stats
- more flags so less downtime getting to the action? (no idea about this one, never played BF1942, but looks like the maps had less flags, and spread them out)

I always type "gg" after a game. Sometimes I'll get annoyed and say "Nice M203" or something like that, but I won't go out of my way to call someone something like "OMG TEH ****ING ******* LOZR OMG L33t u h4x".
