Just dont place claymores on flags when defending... If i was running by a flag and seen the red skulls my first thouht would be c4 or ATmines. SO just dont do it.

To me, putting claymores near a flag for defense is like putting razor blades in a bowl of cereal and trying to eat around them. Well sort of:hmm:

The Sniper Class is a joke anyways..

EA/DICE made it that way when they added magical maps with all your
enemies location on it.. what a joke of a thing that is.. a real world war
simulation that tried to copy all modern weapons, vehicles, etc, but then they
throw in this gay ass map with all your enemies location on it, ALL GAME...

Sniper??? Useless... just another class with a better scope, thats all.. and
you get what... 2 claymores? and he uses them for what? to protect his
location, mainly, right?...... and then what? enemy commander artys his ass
into oblivion.. or UAVs his location where he is doomed anyways..

The UAV/SCAN are a disgrace to this whole game.. game would be MUCH MUCH
MUCH MUCH more fun without it...

Hell, why didnt they just add light sabres, tie fighters, laser guns, and death stars
if they were going to make it gay..

                  Goddam!@#$!@it! I just got my MK3A1 [Jhammer]
and started strategically placing mines at ENEMY bases.

And my team [same guy two times] runs them over in tank.

Punishes both times. If I only remembered the bishes name.. .

This TP sheets is bogus, man. Glad to see many admins no longer allow it.

Re: Come and get your Koolaid!!! Claymore+Punish

I only started to use claymores a week ago. Have been saved by them about 10 times and got my first claymore TK yesterday as some moron ignored it and blew himself up. I was really ****ed about it as he wasted my defence and got me minus points and TK status when the game was going well at that point. Well, at least he had sense to not punish, maybe he learned at the process.

I only use claymores when my hide is a good spot but where enemy is likely to sneak on me unnoticed. Never use protecting the flag. I once didn't put one by the ladder when I was on a building close to our main base so I would not risk killing a blind team mate. What happens? An enemy sniper sneaks past all my team mates, climbs the very building and I lose the firefighting M95 against M95...blah...

PS. one thing I really hope they will fix: delete the parachute or at least make sure you need more than 50m to deploy one (no more roof hopping). Oh yes and 1 parachute per 1 life. Thank you!

So if players like YOU have a problem with claymores, I really don't care anymore. You go boom, I'll take the -4, replace the claymore if it's needed and keep on trying to help my team, and I wont think twice about it.
That's an interesting assumption of my skill level...

Anyways, regarding your claymore placement, I guess I'll have to teach you the hard way not to do it...

Re: Come and get your Koolaid!!! Claymore+Punish

2 things.... one.. many times people throw C4 around a flag pole, which is cool in my opinion as long as they actively defending that flag, 90% of the time. The problem is the claymore from on distance on the move looks identical to C4 as you are actively defending a flag area.. and then BOOM. I still dont punish but they are bad news.

The other is sitting on top of a ladder, thus negating anyone who may want to snipe along side of you.

For a game that has so many team oriented aspects to it, the Claymore, at least in its current form, is a HUGE step in the wrong direction.

In a perfect world, more people would play like my friends and I, which is not about their personal score, but the team win. When the end of round pops up and the score shows that our team wins, it's a incredibly rewarding feeling when everyone is congradulating each other on a job well done. That's what this game should be all about.

Re: Come and get your Koolaid!!! Claymore+Punish

If your team holds a flag, you should be *well* out of claymore range at all times. Between C4 (which will blow you up just as nicely as a claymore will) and the fact that the flag *will* have arty coming down all over it before an attack, *will* have grenades of all kinds lobbed at it, and *will* be where most of the enemy guns are pointing, it is already an extremely dumb place to want to stand.

So if someone wants to stick a claymore behind the sandbags to kill the first guy over (which can nicely pop lone-rangers hoping to grab themselves a nice undefended flag BEFORE it goes neutral), I really don't see what the problem is... you don't have to stand under a flag to keep it, and if you're in 'run-and-gun' mode it shouldn't be *too* hard to just run away from the flag instead of towards it.

As for "hogging" sniper positions... one team per rooftop please. If someone is up there, not only are they going to want to be able to keep a bad guy from sneaking up to knife them but they also are going to draw enough attention by themselves. Adding more snipers to the same roost just means the arty is going to come and get you all the more quickly, or the m203/m-30, or some lucky support guy will climb the ladder and hose all of you down because there was no claymore and you were all facing the wrong way. The only real exceptions to this are the really big multi-level cranes on a couple maps (like oman) where one ladderway services several different roosts. On most maps though, if you can't find an alternative place to set yourself up, you probably should consider the fact that teams need more than just snipers... there are a LOT of places to choose from so don't bitch someone out just because they would prefer a little safety to a lot of extra attention.
