Come and get your Koolaid!!! Claymore+Punish

ARRGGGG....place Claymores to protect the flag and what do people do, run over them.

I placed a Claymore...covering a ladder to a flag standing next to this guy. The guy obviously saw me place it. He then runs towards the ladder, dies and then punishes me...

I think I'm going to start playing on FriendlyFire 0 severs from now on.

EDIT: I forgot to post the new icon they should use to warn you of friendly mines/claymores:

Sometimes it almost seems as if they do it on purpose.:|:

I might be guilty as charged, sometimes. But there is a logical explanation. Sometimes in the heat of the battle it's difficult to distinguish the friendly claymore from the C4 charge. In the lucky case you do figure out it's a claymore, you still have to decide in a split second which way it's pointing at. And on some open maps it's difficult if you can approach a flag from multiple directions.

All of the above explains (or is an excuse for causing) the teamkill, but it doesn't explain the punishing for the TK. Therefore I usually don't punish for any kinds of TK's. It's bad enough I caused a negative score for my teammate...

I defend bases some of the time with them. Let people decide what to do with them, and not tell them what they cant do, eh?

i dont think that they really do it on purpose. its really hard to avoid claymore becasue it somehow goes off when ur like a meter away so im always setting off my own claymore

I have NEVER punished a sniper if I die from a claymore. Although I wish that friendly mines and claymores wouldn't go off when friendlies activated them, it would take away some realism.

heh, i wish clays were like c4, and to set them, youd have to back away REAL slow like, unwinding a spool of wire, then whip out your clacker, then BAM, but make sure your about 30 feet behind it, or you eardrums will explode, and youll catch the backblast lol

                yeeaa, thatd be fun

Ya, I was on Karkand and I put claymores next to a staircase by the Train flag since the US guys were flowing through there.

Some idiot right next to me walks into it and punishes.

putting claymores next to flags seems like a stupid thing to do. In the heat of battle you don't want to have to pussyfoot around flags - looking to see if they are c4 charges, landmines, or claymores. c4 and landmines are 0k, but I hate it when someone drops claymores around flags. When a sniper does what he is supposed to do, he will place his claymores to protect his sniping position, which I doubt very much would be at the base of a flag.

Claymore has one use for which it should never cause a TK: on top of a building where you are sniping.

While I forgive 99% of any TK anyway...I HATE jackass snipers that put claymore in areas they KNOW friendlies will be in and around.

I think claymores need a metal detector like beep along with the skull warning. like the beep get more frequent the closer you get...

they should make the red poison sigh slightly different than the one from the C4

Claymore on top of a ladder: good!

                              Claymore around the flag: BAD.
