Re: Which class/type of soldier is never around....

I mainly play Support & occasionally Engineer. I would play more Eng if the punish system was better. The thing that is so screwed up about playing these 2 kits is that when ever someone calls for ammo or repair they almost ALWAYS move AWAY from the kits icon. I know they can see where the nearest kit is on the map when they call for it, but they run away from the icon. I've even have people within 50 yrds call for it & then run the opposite direction. I've also had people with their ammo meter showing almost empty & they run right by me & keep running. WTF? I'm no Carl Lewis ffs! anymore I usually just head for the most populated areas & if there are no heavy areas I just usually follow the AT guys. Also one more thing. I have had snipers on buildings call for support but have a claymore at the top. ROFL So I climb the ladder just till I am near the top hoping the sniper will come over close enough to get rearmed.... Not happening! Not sure if I can resupply on a ladder or not but I think there should be an option in Comrose like "Hey dumbass....Heres your ammo!" I guess they figure that they are important enough for the commander to drop a supply crate up there for just 1 person. ROck ON!

I dunno why, but support points are the easiest teampoints to get, you refill like 1 mag, or 1 grenade etc., you get an ammo point, to get a healing point, you have to heal like half health total, and i'm pretty sure engineer is the same, except yu repair not heal, but it's harder because, one, you can't throw "repair packs", two, there's only one tank on each team at Karkand, three, Humvees don't provide many repair points because there's not much to repair.

I would kill for a sniper to be around to help me sometimes..

..no, not really. They're worthless. I'd much rather want a Medic around to revive me.

You will see many support MEC troops in first part of Karkand then they just dissapear after USMC starts capping flags.. The statwhore support ones are the only one you see on Karkand

The kit that is usually not around is the one you need the most at that specific time. Always!

Re: Which class/type of soldier is never around....

Sometimes, when I need a medic or support, the only one nearby is in a chopper. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to fly though!

Being an Engineer seems to be a big risk... Some toaddy in a full APC drives over a mine and your game is done. I play it sometimes, but the TK issue drives me away. Why is it the engineers fault if someone drives over a mine and ignores the big red skull on their screen?

I still think people should share in the point loss for doing stupid things that get them TKd. At least they would have an incentive to learn.

The current TK issues ruin many Kits! IMHO...

Another issue with the kits is the main weapons. I wish you could swap weapons with dead players and still stay the same kit you spawned as. Dice should make it an option to switch kits or just take the main weapon.

Some kits just lack effective main weapons and being able to swap would at least make them fun. Nobody wants to be a kit that gets slaughtered, but a few are needed on a good team.

It would be nice to lose the junk main weapon and trade up. It would be a bonus for killing the better equipt enemy. You get his gun!

Damn those AT ptk's hurry up with the patch ffs lol
Thats why people like me are around.

I always spawn as the class that least teammates play as, in most cases: Engineer.

i dont think giving medic the shot gun is such a good idea.
and lot of ppl playing bf2 are beein really selfish ingame.
i remember when i was playing enemy territory. when some one asks for health pack or revive or ammo, ppl run throw enemy snipers sights just to get to u. and every body always say thank u when u gave them wat they needed , and even if u dont have anything left. i think bf2 should be like this too. and beeing a medic is so fun, where else in the hell do u get to save a **** loaded of ppl? and lots of other ppl join classes to profit the benefits from it, support :u will never run outa ammo, medic u can reheal ur self, sniper u can blow ur self up with claymores, engeneer ur can kill ur self with the mines. but it shouldnt be that way. it should be u join a class so u can use wat u have to help others.thats how bf2 should be.

Honestly Assault is the most popular. The most popular weapon is the GP-30/M203 as well. Everyone gernade bombs plain and simple. I don't think a M16 from an Assault class has killed me in the last 3 days. It is all gernade spam.

The most underused class is engineer because of the amount of TKs. Everyong disregards the Skull and red beeps and racks up TKs. The only engineers I see drive tanks/apcs/back of helis.

Hands down and by far the Engineer. I am usually the only one in the map -- or one of two, if it's a 64 player map.

Whatever I want seems to no be there. If im dead, there is not (competant) medics. If im AT and out of ammo, no support, same for when im spec ops at the commander assets. If I'm not SF at the assets, then there is no SF. ITs just stupid somtimes.

Well, the things I need the most often are healing, reviving and resupplying. Whenever I am in a vehicle badly damaged, there is often no chance to get it repaired because the tank shooting it will kill it faster than the engineer can repair it.

Whenever I am seriously hurt, I get healed 50% of the time. Whenever I am killed and with about 2 other people, I get revived most of the time but usually, when I am alone, I rarely get revived. If I am a medic and I die, I get revived... Well, I remember only 2-3 people ever reviving me by taking my kit and they revived me more than once in that server, I think.

Whenever I am out of ammo and there is no person using the supply kit, I usually find an MEC's supply kit on the ground because I was shooting them to death, picking it up and chucking ammo packs all over the ground then picking up my previous kit set off toward another adventure.

Basically, you don't need an ammo pack, you got your supply kits on the ground or another kit of your kind on the ground to replace 'em.

Also, once I had been using a supply kit and was doing some stuff on the commander menu or squadleader menu when someone finally said, 'Running dry. Need ammo.' Right near me and obviously he was waiting, so I gave him some ammo and he left. It's not an interesting story but I was glad I helped the guy unlike the other pieces of crap that don't try to help.

Often, I am running after a medic saying, 'I need a medic quick!' When he gets shot down, I pick up his kit and revive him and we go kill the guy that killed him afterwards. So, yeah...

It came to my mind is that the thing I lack the most is usually a skilled pilot, who actually understands the meaning of the term "air superiority" and tries hard to achieve it by keeping the enemy planes and choppers out of the sky...

That's what i do on Dalian, so fun shoting down Choppers and JSFs with the J-10. THe Choppers are real easy, i go on the first run to run their flares out, and then i go once again and kill them, jets are real easy too, it's realy easy to get them, they flare and think they are safe, they never are. Bombing is abit hard with the J-10, goes way to fast and gets wobbly when going fast, i just bomb the carrier, especially the carrier CIWS.
