when you need them?

I tend to find that support types are in short supply, especially if i go anti armour? :cry: There are always waaaay too many spec ops and assault. I think certain maps and/or situations should dictate what people spawn as. Some players seem to only want to go one type all the time. Any thoughts?

I was in some karkand server yesterday and the whole U.S. team was support. Everytime they'd go prone a grenade would go off infront of them :)

Engineers on the ground..., bout as rare as an EA patch.

I have been playing engy lately on another account and usually i seem to be the only one around, everyone needing repairs, me running around like possessed spanner wielding hamster on lsd, thank g0d fer jeeps lol.

Damn those AT ptk's hurry up with the patch ffs lol

I only lack support guys sometimes, but it's not that bad. The thing that annoys me is, for example what happened in Zatar Wetlands a few days ago: I acquired a G36 from a dead marine, but there was no ammo in it(probably that's why I could kill him that easily ). I spotted a support guy standing and waiting for the chopper(in the middle base) and I asked for ammo... no reply. I stood in front of him and asked again for app. five times...no reply, he just moved away and started running down the hill, I ran after him in order to shot him in the leg in order to get him do his duty, but we both got killed by an incoming apc... Also, the guy had a pkm, so he should have known how to give ammo...

that's a common problem, some of them seem to treat ammo like money i.e. no-one else is getting any

You get points for giving ammo, so I have no idea why people would do that. I friggin' spam ammo bags all over the place. I usually get around 30 ammo giving points a map since starting that.

Everytime I am in great need of a medic there is never one around. EVERY TIME. Same goes if I really need ammo.

Seems when I don't need them, they are all around, and when I really need one, the only medic/support guy as on the other side of the map.

There's alway an abundance of Spec Ops and AT guys it seems. That's about it. Unless you're on Karkand of course. Support guys and Engi's are way more rare in my experience, and yes, I've had the clueless Support guy who didn't give ammo. I even shot at him when he ran away.

what is lacking is intelligence and teamwork. For example, the other night i had 3 assault players shooting 203s at a tank instead of throwing smoke grenades for a spec ops or anti tank to actually kill the tank. I actually told them to throw smoke and yet no one listened.

I am allways engineer as USMC on any map, I may change for a while but no matter how big the map is im engy. I was on sharqi peninsula and there was no support troops whatsoever. I also noticed on certain maps there are NO medics, its odd.

There's a definite lack of support. My first unlock was a pkm, so I try to play as support as often as I can to help out those who need ammo.

Engy is the single most unpopular class, you never find an engy except the commander maybe. Medics are quite abundant, the Support on Karkand is a good amount.

engy's aren't popular because of the weapon. a shotgun is useless until your standing a few feet in front of them, and by that time you're usually riddled with bullets. engy is only good in confined areas like hotel at karkand.

There are seven medics running near me but none of them wants go revive me\give me a medpack.
