Not any of the crap above, you should always line your gunner up, as the missle cant turn to tightly close range.
thats what i always thought... trying to confirm if this is the same with all 3 helos

You're kidding right? You're SO kidding. Why in the hell would I be talking about the circle that appears when you're hovering!?

I'm talking about the crosshair that sits BETWEEN the two lines; me and mah' fellow co-pilot in my unit have tested it time and time again. That's where the TV guided BOX lines up.

...as for you misunderstanding. Wow, just wow. I mean, I know I misspelled "TWO" wrong, but, jeebus'. Was it that hard to figure out!?

The real answer is: Below the pilots crosshairs... but above the "gunner view" box. So try to aim between this and its very much the center.

            this is right
I have over 500 kill assits in helos
            and less than 30 kills
ie I let my gunner do the killing
I am SHOCKED by all the DUMB answers
            in this post
and please forgive me, but this is the FIRST time I EVER called anyone DUMB
but some of these answers were soooooooooo
            pathetic :shakehead
and in case you did not see my reference to the embedded quote
as pilot it is simple to line up the TV guides
1, center the helo left and right (duh)
2, place the target 1/2 betwen your center line X
and the little gunner box below
3, try to have your helo in level flight if posible
            (ie not turning, diving)

I don't know about anyone else, but after a reload (yes, it has finished reloading) it seems I can click on the target and no missile is launched. I've missed quite a few times because of that :/.
