The reason it seems weird is because it's nearly impossible to get a kill with the Mi-17 Hip's machine guns, they suck so much that it amplifies the Blackhawk's minigun's power even more.

Sometimes I wonder what Dice was thinking, I mean some guy sat down, coded the gun, played with it and said, "Yea that's fine, it will work well." It even went through testing and (I guess) no one seemed to notice that it is essentially impossible to get a kill with the KORD unless the Hip is floating perfectly still. The least they could have done is given the rounds some splash damage to make up for the lack of true firepower.

Yes the Kord 12.7 machine gun on the FAV and J-8, but I dont know why it said kord instead of the vehicle it was used on.

Its really messed up, I was an engineer and just blew up a tank and somehow it said I killed the player with an M16A2 when I was an engineer.

hey guys, yes it is possible to kill with the smoke grenade and the hand grenadee if you simply hit the person directly with the grenade. one shot kill. like playing chicken ball (during wiffle balll n00bs). i killed a bunnyhopper by nailing him in the chest with a grenade. hit him in mid air and he went flying!!!1111

The MEC chopper isn't called a KORD, it's called a Mi-17 Hip.

Well even if the MGs on the MI-8 were "KORDS" how come you never see that kill Spam? was it due to the fact that the bh was killed by the splash damage of the mgs or what? I did have one guy in the chopper with me so he might have been a gunner.....

well, im supposing you would like an explaination soo... I was playing on mashtuur city and as usual there were a few **** flakes in the sea hawk whoring it up. Anyone who has played on Mashtuur with me knows i dont dont stand for this and usually end up strapping the mec chopper with C4 and jihading the whole ****er sky high(regardless of the noobs who stay in my chopper despite of my attempts to get them to jump and then punish me as they get killed in the blast...fags.) Anyways, I began my run as i usually do(strapping the mec chopper with C4) and lifted off to find the hawk. Much to my dismay the hawk caught on to my ploy and began to cap the mec hq. so i doubled back and dropped down to blow the hawk as it hover capped the flag. Unfortunately, and rarely occuring in my case, i mis timed the c4 and blew up right before i was in range of the black hawk. However, as if by some act of god, the burning wreckage of the mec chopper hit the tail end of the hawk and sent the whole thing tumbling backwards over the pin. when the smoke cleared it said that i had killed the seak hawk with a KORD... with that... a chopped up screenie of the upper left corner of my screen(i would of got an earlier one but i was in such disbelief that i had to wait for the shock to wear off.)

i never said it was a super kill i said that it was the newest weapon to bf2 and if your lame ass would have read the thread u would see its not the name of the chopper but the name of the guns on it....jackass.

This type of thing tends to happen quite a bit in BF2 ... you'll get kills from some random weapon.

Don't know how it's coded but it does happen.

One time my teammate knifed someone and *I* got the knifekill.

Another time I shot a guy with my G36 and somehow got credited with an M203 kill.

I've never seen a Kord kill ... ever. Good job. :)

Yeah, the other day I picked up someone's medic kit, killed someone with the AK47, and got credit for a kill with the L85A1. Bizarre.

And has anyone ever seen it where sometimes artillery kills happen out of nowhere? Like in the top-left corner of the screen, it'll say:

[ARTILLERY] Playername

No name before the actual artillery, just a space, and it'll only be in red or blue letters, and the Artillery part will be capitalised, rather than [Artillery] like when you normally die from arty. Plus, I've had it happen where my name has appeared as the 'victim', only I was running along just fine, not dying or anything. It seems to happen randomly and it's kinda weird.

Just more bugs EA needs to work out. Maybe they were planning on you being able to remove the KORD guns from the chopper before you dismount since they pretty much aren't worth a spit while they're on the chopper?

I see it almost everytime I play recently. I ignore it, but does it actually affect stats?

I remember another thread talking about this. It's definitely weird. I've also seen my name as the "victim" but had nothing happen to me.

Dunno. I die so often as it is (especially from artillery) I'd never even notice it in my stats. :p I just wonder what causes it, since it's not just a weapon name glitch, but it's actually saying people are dying by something when they're not dying at all.

Are you braindead? The helo is a MI-8 Hip, Kord is the heavy machinegun mounted on most MEC equipment. Do you people know anything?

Five minutes looking into the vehicles that are ingame, or even reading the fucking kill messages would prevent stupidity of this magnitude.
