you need to read the fine print because with some pay by month plan you will end up paying more because of interest. Just like a normal loan.

^ What he said. But I don't believe there exists a payment plan that DOESN'T have interest -- this is a company's main reason for having payment plans in the first place.

i don't know of any places in autralia but i have to agree, alienware is a waste of money. try building your own if you can. you can save lots of money that way.

the price. your probably paying 2-3 times what it would cost if you built it yourself. i also hear their customer support is horrible.

I have worked on Alienware computers. (University Tech Support) They are pieces of ****. They look nice online, but they are utter crap in person. The case is mad of flimsy plastic. They use USB cables to run through the back of the computer instead of using brackets to hook up USB.

You can build a machine as good as any Alienware for less money. Possilbly excluding the software.

In case of difficulties, post here and someone will help.
There's alot of guys out there able to do it.

CPU is pretty easy to push in, instructions are very helpful. WHen i built my first comuter i had a friend help me. He put teh cpu in for me. When i went to start it up i could never get anything to come up.Well i didnt want to bring it to a computer store cause they charge 50 just to look at it. SO i told my friend "make sure the CPU is in all the way, that could be the problem" he told me he did and eventually i brought it to the computer store. Well they fixed it in a day, turned out the CPU wasnt pshed all the way in. I verbally abused my friend for weeks and weeks after this. He still has not lived it down.

We have that saying here in The US as well, only we say it something along the lines of, "If you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself."

Their cases are extremely heavy and look like space pods.
