i dont know about you guys, but im getting really tired of this game and the community. I mean, is it just me, or are you guys just having bad game after bad game.... Up until recently, I would play for a few hours a day, trying to shoot for around 1000 points a day, but recently things have been slowing down and it almost feels like a chore to keep playing... I mean im so tired of so many things in this game, its not even funny. For example, people TK'ing you cause you took 'their' vehicle, noob pilots who cant fly the BH but keep getting in the pilot seat over and over, people that dont work as a team, the list keeps going and going. I mean, I love to get points as much as the next guy, but people are cutting each others throats and hurting the team to make points. For instance, when I spawn into a BH, I always play as engineer, but 4 other people spawn as support cause they can get easy resupply points, and essentially are totally useless to keeping the BH flying....And in terms of the community, im sick to death of hearing the whining about 'stat padding' and what not, i mean, this is one of the coldest, disloyal communities for a game i have ever seen, with all of the tattling going on, i mean, you really dont want to make friends with anyone. In short, I'm just curious to see if other people are feeling the same way as me right now, I really hope I get back into the game for all the time I've invested so far, but I really dont know if I can play this game much longer....tbh if it wasnt for the stat system, i probably would have gotten bored with this game long ago. Its pretty upsetting, cause the last game i was addicted to, UT2K4, i played for almost a year before getting tired of it (and i only played Onslaught)

Yeh I kind of agree with you, although you can overcome most of these things If you find yourself a good Clan, i mean.. You guys can play together, and if you all have mics it makes the experience more fun. I know for a fact that If you have a GOod Squad and everyone co-operates and has mics then gameplay is alot more fun..
Also wait for the 1.03 Patch.. A few things should be fixed by thenComment

Excalibur69 made a lot of good points that I agree with in his post. I, too, am tired of this game and the crap that goes on in it, as well as the crap that goes on outside of it like here at TotalBF2 and other BF2 forums and sites on the net. As it is, I am 91% towards my next rank, Sergeant, and I have had no desire to even want to log on and play anymore; which is exactly what I have done for the last two days.
I dunno. When you see the same ole crap all the time and see no end in sight for it, kinda makes you not even want to bother wasting your time on it anymore.Comment

Maybe you're all just a bit burnt out from things atm. Take a break for BF2 for awhile and you probably come back refreshed and with a clear mind, I find it works for most things in life.
As somebody else said, patch 1.03 will change a lot of things, hopefully for the betterment of the game and players.Comment

well it seems like me and GaretJax are on the same page. From looking at his stats, it looks like he has played over 200 hours, like myself, so it appears this game has a short shelf life. You lance corporals should enjoy the fun while it lasts, cause i guarantee you will start getting bored fairly shortlyComment

not tired of the game, there are isues, but you have isues in every other game as well, and how more features the game has, how more features there are going to be abused or wrong used witch causes severe braindamage to normal players.
BF2 has many features, air vehicles, land vehicles, many classes, ..... with the result there will happen things you won't like.
But, I love the game, and there are plenty of good rounds with good teammates what makes up for all those bad momentsComment

im sorry but i am the n00b that cause you guys all this trouble:
i get a full BH and make them all bail over the ocean...
i stant in front of a friendly tank and force them to punish me...
i make people beg for me not to punish them, but i do it anyways....
i shoot a person in the foot until they tk me...
i purpously hit a friendly snipers claymore...
i make rude names and laugh when i kill people...
i stand 2 feet away from an at guy so when he shoots it kills us both...
i blow up all the planes on the carier for no reason...
i run into a group of friendly soldiers and request an arty strke...
i call everyone noobs...
i trick n000bs into hitting alt+f4 so they close there game...
i kill my teammates with smoke nades...
i put c4 of a full friendly BH and then kill myself and tell sum n00b to pick up my kit and blow the c4 :laugh:
and im not 12 in 16 but if you dont mess with other people the game gets boring

It's not so much as messing with other people in the game, it is the fact that much like in the game, the atmosphere outside of it is a visceral, unkind, dog-eat-dog world. Rarely do you go without seeing someone start a fight with someone else in their thread. I mean, I suppose it is kind of expected as you are directly competing with other people in the game. The forums of BF2 are all wracked with the same behavior, same attitude, same cannibalistic bravado you find in the game. It shouldn't have to be this way, but people think that because they are a hard ass in the game, they have to be on the forums.
The game itself, even with the few flaws it has is a good one. It's just the people that play the game and the way they act outside of it that make it, at least for me, very unfun.Comment
