People do join squads... Today when I was playing on Karkand, I created a squad becauses I needed help. All I did was say in team chat that my squad needs a medic, and before you could say anything, 3 medics joined my squad. They followed me everywhere and truly helped alot. We were first squad that round by a large milestone.

I always join squads.

you can give orders to lone wolfs, just klick on them.

I dont join squads because i find, on pubs, i have more fun not being in squads. Is there a problem with that, or is my "excuse" valid?

Join the right servers.

Try the TacticalGamer.com Servers, especially the 64 player one. Everyones in a squad, literally.

True, some commanders are n00bs, they just fly around and dont do anything, I cant fly anymore as I broke my joystick on Kubra damn :laugh:

I quite often join squads but find that 99% of the time there are no orders coming down at all. In that case, the only thing thats different from playing 'lone wolf' is that some of the other guys show up in green.

i think even if you click/select them/him, you actually still give order to the squad/squads selected(at least one squad is always selected ,right?),not lonewolves.

Someone said that it's wrong that squad leader flyes jets... Well, I always start a squad when I'm flying bombers so my co-pilot can spawn to my jet. I also name my squad to JET.

I will not stay in a squad if: No orders are being given, squad is broken up all over the map, squad is trying to use any vehicle but transport types unless the squad progresses at the same speed.

Any squad that doesnt give an order is basically a no no for me as I like to know what I'm meant to be doing. Plus when I join a squad I basically stick to the leader like glue so if he doesnt have a clue what he's doing I'm better off hoofing it alone.

Dont get me wrong, if there is orders and the squad is together there is nothing more fun, even defending flags is awesome. And people, please defend your flags, individual victory is nothing when your team has lost.

Just because theres a squad there...doesnt mean its useful to join. Im not gonna join a squad if all i do is follow some point harvesting squad leader.

Plus squad leaders have no idea how to use snipers.

BTW, how does somebody invite you to their squad?

When you create a squad there is an icon at the bottm of the sqaud menu 'Manage Squad' Clicking on it allows you to select indivdual players that aren't in a squad and send them an invitation.

I've joined a few squads that were models of co-operations and had the best time playing. In fact, I've had (or at least I feels like I have) a better survival rate working with a squad rather than as a lone wolf. I've joined other squads that were jokes

There is definitely a sense of chaos when your team is running around without a thought or plan. The only counter to this aimlessness is vehicle whoring. TKing is another symptom of the same chaos. Perhaps things will settle down as people become more accustomed to the game, play more mods and loose the nOObs status.

I don't normally join a squad because, as already pointed out, squads are normally on the attack, not the defense. It never ceases to amaze me when playing Karkand that there are generally 2 ways the MEC lose. 1) the enemy takes the main base, 2) The enemy takes the top left flag. It's a sad state of affairs that I'm generally the only one defending the top left flag :/.

I do join squads if I want an extra spawn point in my area though and it's not often you find them fighting as a squad.

Id say that squads r a kind of play style like if u always go a medic join a squad if your a squadleader that is always going sniper id be going lone wolf depending on the situation because squadleading snipers always get in places good for themselves but not for most others.
