I will admit that I was pretty frustrated, with EA/Punkbuster. Over a few weeks time my CTBS was finally fixed. The game is great and hopefully the bugs will get worked out. I have 1942,TW03,04,05,NFSU2. BF2 is the coolest game so far, it is addictive, and YES I will buy the expansion pack. But a double thanks to **.HellRaiser.** for posting the fix on www.bf2.com and fixing my problem. Yes it was the bloody iomega zip drive service app!

Those that still have problems issues with BF2 are not following the advice given freely in this forum for whatever reason, they just wont listen to reason.
There are only 2 "MAIN" reasons why the game wont run for them.

1) The rig / sys / pc they are trying to install the game on is under the minimum specifications
2) The way the owner of the PC has his / her PC set up, is not running correctly!

(maybe they are to dammed lazy and want someone to go to there house and sort out there PC's for them)

I guarantee my system is setup properly as I've taken a great deal of time and effort to make sure of it (including reformatting and starting again from scratch) and the crashes to desktop and reboots still remain. The game is the issue here! Get off your high horse and pay attention to the posts in this forum. The fact is that EA has already admitted that the 1.03 patch will contain over 140 fixes.

(maybe that is why you cant get BF2 to work for you)

Whisper...... "BF2 for PC's it's "not" a play station game, but you could get it for PS2"!

For the most part the 1.03 patch is/are "enhancements" not a "fix"!
The memory loss, is server side "not" client etc.

I bet you don't even know what the difference is between a bug and a map encoding error, but you could Google it?
Just as you could Search an answer to why you have your PC set up like a dead duck!

Like i have said before there are those that moan and those that do!
The offer still stands post your problem properly in client support, in this forum and you will get tons of help.

Well GWS, my screen name is "Drivie" FYI and your link is broken so I have no idea what point you're trying to prove but I'm sure it's a lame one.

No need to "belittle" yourself any further, you've done enough already. I'm sure most here understand the difficulties of adolescent puberty you must be faced with at the moment. No need to take it out on everyone else.

BTW, you obviously didn't read the community update on the BF2 official site or you would have read sentences such as: "Unfortunately, we haven't lived up to the standards we've set for ourselves." and "This patch (1.03) is currently underway and will undergo thorough testing to avoid the problems that have occurred in the past." Doesn't surpise me really since you're only here to bloviate and condescend. Please leave these forums since you have nothing positive or helpful to contribute.

Dear moron, my PC is 100% clear of any spyware or virus, gets defragmented every 2-3 weeks, specs are way over the min specs for BF2, all other games on it far cry, doom III, half life, CS, .... run perfectly on it without giving any error. BF2 came along and I got problems with the game (CTD) this is now solved with there second patch, but I still have memeory leak, mailed it to EA, and in the mail I got retured they said they knew about it on some systems that this still happens and there is nothing you can do about it at this moment.

Also things like wrong tagging etc... , how could this be a client side problem ??


You are a real low brainer who thinks his PC is like the perfect pc and that is why BF2 runs without any errors on yours, well, beg news hit for you, it's just because your lucky, it has nothing to do with bad configuration or whatever
