I am really sick of all these posts that go something like this:
" OMFG, I am sooooo ****ed, wtf dudes, this game sucks, I can't get it working, I can't play, screw EA they suck, OMFG, this game sucks so much. Seriously this is gay."
Need I remind you how buggy and "crappy" BF1942 was. Hell most of the people here I bet never played BF1942 until everything was fixed, so they didn't know the half of it.
Like BF2, BF1942 was very buggy, many exploits, and there was a TON of trouble playing it online. From lag to, yes, even disconnects, BF1942 was pretty bad when it was first released. However in time EA/DICE worked out all the bugs, and eventually made a very nice platform for classic mods such as Desert Combat (and NO this did not launch EA to make BF2, BF2 was a scheduled game 5 years ago when EA/DICE signed their deal).
So please, before you bitch and complain, you have to realise how ground breaking this game is (just as BF1942 was for its day). Then also realise, that the game WILL be fixed. It just a matter of time. Although v1.03 wasn't released by its target date of August 31, I would much rather have it delayed then have an incomplete patch.
It isn't as easy as you people think. It isn't like C++ or Java, anything that simple, where they can just look at the code, fix one thing, and walla no more problems. They have to go through literally millions upon millions of line of code, to see if they can pin point a problem. Then they have to try a fix, and see if it works. And if it does work, does it create other problems else where?
Trust me, these guys work hard to keep us, the community happy, and yet some people seem not to appreciated that.
I for one appreciated everything EA/DICE has done this thus far in supporting this game, and I would easily buy another Battlefield series game.
