Thats right they added the knife and shock paddles as well.

Can i assume you dont mind those people that team up and stab>revive>stab>revive>etc as well?? It takes all sorts i guess.

The pilot-kill thing does work, but if it's fully loaded, answer this for me: What are you going to do when a passenger hits F1 and pilots it themselves?

It would still be in flight with little-to-no-effect from your pilot kill. (Unless every single passenger sucks at flying, which I would seriously doubt, since flying helis is easy as cake).

I see the ranking system as a way of keeping track of your strengths and weaknesses. Not as a "meh epen0s is bigger than your5!!!!!!!!!!".

You own. This is exactly what the problem is when it comes to "copter whores". There is a simple solution to the problem. Remove the ablity to take flags in vehicles. This includes helicopters, tanks, apcs, and road vehicles. With this fix, the infantry are a more viable class, which means you'll instead see infantry parachuting out of the blackhawk to cap the flag (and then probly getting picked back up in the blackhawk) but this at least gives a few more valuable seconds to "stop them".

im not saying that its a bad idea, but i am saying you'll end up with drongos who will complain at ever opportunity because you'll end up with "defence whores" who sit in a tank and wait for infantry to roll up to a flag before blowing them to hell..... some people will just moan about everything possible.

I would like to thank you Teaves for chimming in with such intelligent responses. It shows that you read my post and understood it well.

Funny thing though, I am a chopper whore simply becouse you say I am. Despite the fact that I explained ways to counter an effective pilot-who most people dub "Chopper Whores". I personally could care less about flag hopping, and very rarely flee from a good fight, but when you describe a chopper whore to such an extent I would agree to the point only in regards to attempting to cheat. I have no need nor desire to cheat in a game that can be won through creative tactics. With that in mind even those who fit the profile of "Chopper Whore" cheaters are easily countered with a little bit of strategy. I had to comment on this issue not becouse I play a game to cheat, but becouse it does get tiring to be called a cheater for performing well. Its an annoyance when players spend the entire game commenting negatively to players who have a proficiency in any class or vehicle. Going along that line of thought, any time I see a tank owning a city map full of ground troops, should I call him a "Whore"? Any vehicle or class can be mastered to the point where you can own in a game, but does this qualify you as a whore?

I placed this post with the intent of exploiting people who would rather spend there time complaining about something rather than fixing it. I hope for your sake that EA fixes the game so that you can rest better at night with the knowledge that there is no more point whoring by "Chopper Whores". But I do hope you stop there, less you continue and they officially remove all effective vehicles and we end up with a rehash of Counter Strike. I wonder would this be an issue if all sides had an equal balance. Would it be better if i muzzled my gun when I go to fight. As for assuming that I don't take it to the ground or get into the fight, you couldn't be any more wrong. I enjoy ever aspect of the game, even the parts I suck at-yet I refuse to engage in the trash talking that continues to plague servers when ever someone is losing. If you want to win every single time without effort, play a single player game, and stay away from one where you play with the world.

In my opinion it is a shame when EA would spend their focus on an easily countered tactic. Given their history they could spend their time fixing and adding things to the game that would smooth out and enhance gameplay-without causing players who utilize the equipment in the game effectively.

People that whine about these things should just quit playing, when something like this happens ingame I get mad at the chopper, but I go out and destroy it, with no whine and no complaint.

I use a BH or 'flying coffin' as reffered to in 21CW, they are a valuable match saver and are easy pickings for any soldier skilled enough, and if you are sooooo bored of taking them out, don't!
Pilot a chopper, avoid indirect & direct fire, missiles and jets whilst lugging the back around like a sled.
I;m waiting to hear your 'pre-prepared' response.

wow what a worthless thread, i nearly passed out as the Batgod stroked his own e-penis all post.

and just for your reference, as many people are annoyed with it on the SAME TEAM, why? because the team with these tactics almost always lose.

Thats why most people are annoyed not becuase it kills them, but because it takes a fun, balanced game and makes it boring, the enemy spend all map just taking flags back and not being able to leave the base for 2 minutes. and the USCM have to sit there and watch 6 players get 200+ points and LOSE the game by 100+ flags.

Seriously how often does this tactic win the for the TEAM, hardly ever.

cheese + wine = you. Get it? If the patch takes it out....no biggie! But deal with it as is for now....or stop playing the maps that BH's are on? Doesn't take a rocket scientist.

Hi Batgod, I understand your post because we all get abuse in game, whatever we do (even if its just being punishsed for someone elses mistake) I appreciate your calm response, i am simply trying to get the other side across more rationaly then most people that mean the same thing.

To be honest it is simply the flag hoping and running from attackers that tends to describe BH Whores in my mind, i dont mind anything that has a counter in game or is being used as planned. To me a transport should be exactly that, not a flying insta-repair tank

With the size of some of the maps at 64 player, and the lack of planes on some maps the BH really can be used with NO counter if they simply flee from the enemy and only "attack" safe targets. added to the fact the way the spawning works, even getting a death once in while isnt so bad as it only takes 20 seconds out of the schedule. On very few occasions will you see people being actually transported by the transport choppers, and this is my main wish for the future.

In short we will never agree with each other fully, i except some of your points of course and hope others can at least read mine and evaluate them without the standard "WHINER" replys. As i said i leave the server if it gets too bad, and never, ever abuse the BH crew no matter how i feel about them.

Great post batgod and totally agree. i have been a pilot and squad leader of a blackhawk and got team switched, so what did i do. Used every chance i got to stop the BH and did it effectively. i don't need to rehash everything batgod has said because it is all valid and true.

I Totally disagree with you teeves in the fact that the BH does help the team. If you have a good pilot that knows what he is doing, you can score MANY kills which directly influences the tickets. If i am pilot in BH I don't just flop straight down on the flag and P*ss off. i will generally sweep the area a bit, circling and giving my gunners the best angles and oportunity to be effective, then cap the flag. Contrary to what you say that DOES take skill.

I try to learn the hiding spots of troops and snipers and position the BH so the gunners can take them out. When i fly th BH my team will win the majority of the time. Of course APC's and tanks can take out the BH. I find tanks are one of the most challenging opponents when in a BH.

It takes teamwork to use a BH, so why shouldn't it take teamwork to take it down. On the other hand i have found all it takes is a very good Attack chopper pilot and the BH is basically useless.
