    A Humble "Chopper Whore" Responds

First off let me start by sayin that I have been a fan of the Battlefield series for some time now. In addition to enjoyin what the modding community has produced. The gameplay offered by the battlefield series is unchallenged in my opinion, and I will remain a fan despite the many bugs that EA continues to overlook.

That being said one of the biggest complaints I have is the stat system, and what it implies. Ranking seems to be the biggest thing pulling from gameplay as people continue to find ways to cheat it. For me personnally I refer to my stats as a compliment to the review of my gameplay. But to others it seems to be a source for gameplay not a support of gameplay, which to me is fine. This is a game and I play it with the intent of playing a game. I have noticed in the course of play that I have been commonly called during gameplay a "chopper whore", to which I have a response for all of you people who would claim me to be.

    Learn to play.

I have played in many maps using the blackhawk to dominate a map from the air in what many refer to as "flag-hopping". I have also gone against many players who actually take the time to deter me in a variety of ways. Instead of complaining they chose to spend time playing-and there are many good players that can take down a blackhawk loaded full of engineers. So stop your whinning, pick up a antitank and shoot through the cockpit-pilot dead-stop complaing.

I have gone on many maps where players choose to stay rolling in apcs, tanks, and aa, to which I usually will reply with a well placed land mine from one of my crew. And in the same breath the skilled players know how to shoot enough to take down the chopper or in the least send us packing-stop complaining learn to shoot.

I have been placed against the wonderfull suicide pilots who would rather die than shoot. Pass after pass and every once in a while one will get lucky. This tactic
doesn't bother me becouse I have played in countless maps where I have been shot down repeatedly by missles and gunfire from a jet. My hats off to them, as they actually can fly and shoot-stop complaining and learn to fly and shoot.

Many times I will be up against a attack helicopter. In this situation the attack chopper has more fire power and manueverability than the blackhawk. And in most cases I will be the pilot who will survive the fight-why you ask. Learn to fly, the attack chopper has to be lined up with its target to get a succesfull kill. I have a good time laughing as the missles miss time and time again. Enough to the point where I can put one of my gunners on the attack chopper and get him smoking enough to leave us alone. And the point again-learn to fly and shoot.

The blackhawk is a flying bus that can be taken down by any player who drops the I see you so I shoot you mentality. If you actually take a second to aim before you shoot you may find something that will suprise you-you may actually become better at the game. Many times a apc sitting in a bay seemingly unoccupied is a perfect strategy to bring in the enemy to a point of no return. To which I would find it a honor to be shot down and my hats off to you for actually learn to play better than the rest.

It seems to me if guys would take the time they spent typing in game and actually played they may just get better-oh and one more thing it is a teamplay based game, and if you actually use your team as a team you may just get those "points" you claim me of taking. And don't worry I won't call you a "team whore" for getting a high score as a team. I as opposed to other players actually welcome a good fight, wether or not the sides are even or unbalanced. In war their are no certainties, there is no autobalance, or evenly matched technologies.

Anyone having any beef with me about my play can bring it in the form of a well placed rocket, missle, or even C4 pack. I enjoy a good fight where the enemy poses a
challenge. See you on the battlefield.

Yep, I agree 100%. Same as BF:V before, learn to defeat it not how to complain about it.

I'm not a BH whore, yet I still agree with you 100%. A full blackhawk is hard to take down, but not impossible, and I think this is fair, as if you DO manage to take it down you get 6 kills (thats 12 points instantly).

Keep up the whoring, and I'll keep up trying to take you down

what i've always wanted to say but didnt... too many people complain over things that have a very simple solution. this for one and another, server.... they keep complaining about balancing out the team when they're in a server without autobalance on...

Re: A Humble "Chopper Whore" Responds

My top score is 467 on a Stalemate map about a week ago.

Only 16 players on the server (out of 44)...late night, about 2:30am CST.

I was on the USMC and the Chinese players were doing almost nothing to take our chopper down. I did have like 3 deaths...but the rest was from flag hopping.

When I'm MEC on Maashtur or Chinese on Stalemate...I don't complain...but I always go for the tank. I find a nice little hiding spot and shoot that sucker down. The USMC chopper pilots and gunners are good for going for the east stinger on Stalemate ( the one on the top of the building ) ...but they always forget about the one on the west, about 1/2 down the hill. Park your tank next to it....shoot a couple stingers into it then jump back in your tank because the guns on the BH won't damage a tank very well...unlike an APC which they will chew through.

Learn to use the equipment efficiently and the BH users will give up. If I would have gotten killed a few more times on Stalemate I would have given up and stuck to the ground on that one map I scored 467 on.

Remember too that if you get a good tank shot into the BH you might get the engineer first :) 2nd shot will take it down.

                I agree with you.

I dont use blackhawks much and i never flag hop i use it a a transporter but when people do what you do [GOD'S HAND]BATGOD i dont complain i dedicate my time in taking down that chopper and lets face they are not hard to take down.

With an APC or a TANK takes only a few seconds to take a BH down and if you use a stinger takes only two hits not hard or time consumeng

The new patch will stop the whorage (as fun as it might be), so take advantage of it while you can.

wow what a worthless thread, i nearly passed out as the Batgod stroked his own e-penis all post.

and just for your reference, as many people are annoyed with it on the SAME TEAM, why? because the team with these tactics almost always lose.

Thats why most people are annoyed not becuase it kills them, but because it takes a fun, balanced game and makes it boring, the enemy spend all map just taking flags back and not being able to leave the base for 2 minutes. and the USCM have to sit there and watch 6 players get 200+ points and LOSE the game by 100+ flags.

Seriously how often does this tactic win the for the TEAM, hardly ever.

Blackhawks only own because the have 6 people working together in them if you have six people working together hunting them then its really easy to take them down so i see no problem

Yeah, it's just a game, if something helps you win and have fun then it's OK.

It reminds me of all those sad people complaining about players using the AWM in CS. If it's there, it is for a reason, if someone learned to own other people with it, good for him.

Re: A Humble "Chopper Whore" Responds

The bottom line is that people will always exploit features of a game. I just feel lucking its Dice and EA, theres no way Valve or other companies would change the game to stop these BH exploits. We will see how good at "teamwork" the chopper whores are at the next patch. good luck with getting 200+ points then or any points come to mention it, as most chopper whores spend all there time in helicopters and have no real combat ability from lack of practice, have u ever been killed by a parachuting crew? no they usually come at you with spanners as they dont know what a gun looks like

The second i see a Sergeant rank or above in BH, its time to swop servers, you an i both know they will sit in the BH all round with the fire button selotaped down with the spanner out. Of course they can be taken down when the pilot makes a mistake (you mention APC's lol you do know that a heli can cap a flag staying above the tank/apc gun elevation?? i guess not)
But this means you have to spend the whole game taking the flags back 5 seconds after the heli swoops in and caps it (why do they never stop to defend??)

What i really want to know is why people that sepnd all the time in heli's dont play a helicopter game or any other flying game, why FPS's?? im not talking about people using them generally, im talking about the ones like this isiot that uses them ALL THE TIME!!

Check the Ea forums once in a while, someone posted in there that they actually use bluetack to stick down there fire button on mashtuur city and then go for food!!!!! it repairs them automatically, lol what stunning TEAMWORK you choipper whores have
