DC stands for Desert Combat which was a mod created for BF1942 and basically increased the longevity of BF1942. It was an awesome mod.
The actually community modders who created DC were later employed by EA to work on BF2.
Unfortunately, DC actually outperforms BF2 in a number of areas.
DC ended up being more polished and balanced than BF 2 is right now, mostly because the DC team released new versions often (and were more plugged into community feedback).

I know. I hate it when they do that when I'm the co-pilot. I get all dizzy and start to feel my peanut-butter and jelly sandwich coming back up.
lol you eat peanut butter and jelly sadwishes while your co pilot.... me too  I mostly bomb or take down heli whores because i will just go around in circles trying to shoot a jet down, I could shake off anything but I always end up getting killed by a noob tree.

I dono man, I couldnt fly **** in dc. I loved dc for its ground and helo combat but hated its air combat. I had no idea how to do that, I hated everything about it, I SUCKED badly. I couldnt bomb **** much less dogfight so Im really glad that bf2 made air combat the way they did.
It's funny, but roughly half of the relevant posts in this thread go for DC flight models and the other for BF2... Just an observation.
