Lets see here where to start. Not that i don't agree with you becuase I would like to think of myself as a good guy if push came to shove, and that we would win in a world conflict. Now I will start with what i know. I am a sonar operator in the Canadian Navy. Been dealing with american submarines for awhile now and feel very confidant that maybe the first Akula wouldn't kill a seawolf but the next three attack submarines would. There are only 4 seawolves. So that isn't much of a driving force. Now with the virgina class well under way you might have a longer war and eventually win. But that is a really expensive war. I am also sorry to burst your bubble about the commonwealth.

It doesn't exist anymore. Britian does not own Canada nor any other countries that belonged to the commonwealth. We have figureheads in place and still honor the queen's name but it is all tradition and that is it. If Britian really had the power to order the commonwealth into war don't you think it would have happened on the american illeagal war on Iraq.

Also, America doesn't own NATO. America makes up a large part of NATO but does not control it. You can go on any public website and find all you need to know about NATO there. As well NATO is already invoked and always is. There is always a NATO Fleet at sea. Always.

And last but not least alot of countries have join what i like to call the United Nations. They haven't done everything right but they are there to divert any attemp for world war. Unfortunately it would take One country to intiate a war like this and they would be quickly squashed. Any other country that may think about joining the "cause" would be quickly intimidated and dispatched.

No one country would be able to dominate and other countries would not risk a peaceful relationship that they may have with the American or they would loose there country and everything they know.

Alot similar to a situation in the world right now.

Like I said, no offense but i felt like some of your points were way off. )

Aye, the're hella expensive (2 Billion per!!). Of course, we also have the Los Angelos class subs, but you point is true, we would take some losses as well.

I am also sorry to burst your bubble about the commonwealth.

They may not own the countries anymore, but the Commonwealth is still there, from what I understand. The commonwealth countries feel alliance to the Brits and have gladly shed blood for her in the past... WWI and WWII are good examples.

Well, no we do not own NATO, but from my limited knoledge of it says that if the Russkies attack a NATO member, the NATO Nations get together and fight.

Maybe, but I personaly think the UN not to be worth the paper it's constitution is printed on. Ever heard of Rwanda?

Ya man. I am glad you aren't offended by my post. I wasn't trying to be offensive. first seawolf cost 6 billion dollars of your tax payer money.

Rwanda was horrible. There are some good stories about it from General Delair that have just been released. It was a bad time for all of the UN but Canadians were there. If you are interested you can look it up on the ol' Google.

All i have to say about the brits being under attack is that look at the intial invasion of Iraq. Canada was asked to go and declined due to the Canadian public.

Right now with NATO we have what is called a Quick Reaction Force. Where troops, ships/subs/carriers, Air Force are on standby somewhere in the world. Basically keeping watch. If anything happens they go. Used to be for the russians but now for any threat.

Anyway d00d. Thanks for responding. Like i said no hard feelings.:)

General Romeo Delair was the only canadian in the country at the time (maybe his assistants were too, idk), he was commanding the UN peacekeeping. there were no Canadian forces in the country, and canada and the US refused to send troops there after it spiralled out of control. Plus the belgians, the biggest section in the UN in Rwanda, chickened out when there was millions of people dying. the UN screwed up big time then.

Trust me, i watched the documentary "Shake hands with the devil" last night. I can't wait to read the book.

The U.S. Gov. does not deny the exsistance of Navy SEALs. Go to any Navy recruiter or the offical DoN website and you can read about them.

Green Berets are teachers for the most part, as well as insurgents. They will train and fight with a country, as they did in El Salvador, Vietnam, Etc. They make contact with locals and persuade them to join the 'right' side.

Rangers are highly trained combat specialists. They take down airports, secure targets, etc. They have well defined, specific objectives, unlike infanrty men who are sent en-mass to secure a territory.

As for a war with China, you have to take into account some factors. 1.) Are we trying to invade China? If so they do not have a large blue water navy, so we could pretty much standoff the coast and launch A/C, use cruise missiles, hell, bring back some 16" guns and have some good old shore bombardment. Their air force would not last to long, and their AA would be fairly easy to take out.

The main problem will be taking their land. They have a lot of people that they can send to fight, but like the first Gulf war they will surrender quickly, because what are they really fighting for?

China trying to invade the U.S. would be a disaster for China. They may have 1 billion people that are willing to fight, but how are they going to get here? They don't have the infastructure to move a large mass of people to the U.S., so there wouldn't be that many people to fight.

This is of course taking nukes out of the equation.

                            This thread needs to die...

As I already said, the current situation in BF2 (US Marines vs. MEC and PLA) would easily result in the US losing. Even the entire US military vs the MEC and PLA, US would probably lose. The only way this war would make sense is if it was more like this: USA, UK, Germany, Israel, S.Korea, Japan and possibly Russia vs China, N. Korea and a bunch of middle eastern countries (any maybe you could fit in Pakistan vs. India in there somewhere). The only way you can explain the storyline correctly is for the US to have allies, which we simply don't in BF2.

                            Just stop trying!

ok... US has about 250+ million people, and lets just say China has 1 billion. lets say half are males whcich is 500 million. Now lest say half of those are of fighting age (18-40?) thats 250 million people....So it is possible that China could have an army as large as the whole US population! HOWEVER...HOWEVER. If europe minus russia steped in that about 700 million more people. So ide say the us would get its ass kicked if it went up against china or the middle east along...but with europe, sum canadians, and mabey japan and s korea wede be cool.

-BY the way the USAF spec ops are called the "Delta Force". The us goverment still denyes there existence. (thse were some of the guys in somalia during 93)
