THey will just make a lot of expansions. We are already in a war. and battlefield 2 is not set in this war. Its a fictional one. They will just make up anther war.

Im all for battlefield 3: Cold war invasion

The scope you have their is unlimited - All NATO and warsaw pact countries to choose from, plus communist and western aligned countries in africa, south east asia etc.
You could have the proper range of terrain types as in 1942 - desert, jungle,plains, snow, tundra, sea/islands amd urban.

Another WW2 game might be alright, providing it isn't of the same calibre as BF42 i.e. Japanese using German weapons, 2 British vehicles, bazooka and panzerschreck on every map etc. etc.

Cant imagine a cold war BF offering much different than BF2; just a bit more dated; remember China in BF2 is basicaly the communist power with its red flag. They would need to do something differnt by either going to a past war, or future.

The Battlefield series is too profitable for EA to give up. I don't really see an imminent end to it.

I think a wild west game or a civil war game could work. You could have revolvers, gatling guns, rifles, horses,sabers, cannons. And just imagine a Gettsyburg map or a battle of the Alamo map!:shock:

Don't worry, at the rate GW Bush is going we'll have plenty of new wargame material
