If I had to choose a theme I would say a western. But its hardly anything more than a mod. It still would make a great war, with revolvers and lever rifles, horses trains and etc. But maybe not battlefield.

I agree with that other post, Korea would be nice. Or maybe the Fawklands.

I would say keep it the way it is now or go back to the Desert combat timeframe and just improve the engine even further. Would love BF3 to just have more weapons, more maps, more vehicles, 100+ player servers, bring back ALL the old maps, even better animations for climbing and opening doors... etc.

Why would it HAVE to go to another timeframe??? Its proven that the majority likes the modern combat style right now.

The Falklands War comes right to the top of my head. As for the future, into the Space is a bit too unrealistic because the heritage of the Battlefield series sticks to realistic war simulation. If future version really requires to go into the future, Taiwan Crisis would be quite a good lead. North Korea could also give the chaps a good storyline.

i dont think there wil be anymore battlefields. but i do think that they will continue supporting mods and patches, expansions etc for bf2 for a long time

I'd like to see a mod on the Falklands, but I don't think that a full retail game based upon it would appeal to the same size of audience that BF2 appeals to.

If there is a 'BF3' I doubt it will be based upon a real conflict, probably just another fictional one like BF2 is.

What about the war in Chechenya (spelling). That would be nice. Russian spets natz and stuff like that. It could be a mod but with man power like DICE has, it would be 10 times better

I think there will be expansion packs enough, and it will all be about the mordern combat, no more WW I or WW II , we had enough of those, they made like 50 games over those period.


And now there are possibilitys enough, middle east will stay popular for a time, russia maybe ?

Hey, the world police....phuk yeah! Will no doubt give us many many wars in the future to base our games on.



How about BF3 Civilian unrest.

Revisiting the places where the media war is over. Visit the dusty mountains and Badlands of Afghanistan or too the modern day streets of Iraq.

Hot contenders also would by US vs Syria, US v's Modern day Korea, US v's modern day Iran, and deeper into the future BF4: We've ran out of oil - we want yours. US v's the rest of the world.

tweaked helicopters so they purposely collide with other coalition forces helicopters

fixed the IQ leak of us forces

missiles, bombs etc now lock onto british allied forces so when youve had enough of mowing down innocent iraqis you can blow up the british in some lovely "Friendly fire" incident...

transport helicopters tweaked to become mobile bungee jumping platforms

LoL. I don't like much the idea of a war in space in a BF series game. However, I do like your concept of ¨advance wars¨, something that takes place in a near future, like 2050.

Hmmmm. Remote controllable battlefield drones. Rapid fire high explosive rounds. Tactical lasers. Holographic camoflage ("I'm not an enemy soldier, I'm a rock ... bang"). Personal exoskeletal battlesuits. Ultra-longrange sniper rifles with guided shells. Mines that sense whether you are a friendly and only blow up enemies. Smart vehicles with AI features.

Yeah, that could be pretty sweet.
