Fox news channel was embedded with Chontosh during that entire time. They did a 2 hour special called "Company of Heroes". You might be able to buy it from their website if you really want to see Chontosh in action. They did lose a few marines in the attack but they basically cleared most of Fallujah all by themselves.
As stated he's a crazy Mother right out of the movies. In the special his guys called him nuts because while in a hostile area he just walked down the middle of streets like he owned them while the rest of his platoon were hiding behind barricades and humvees.

Im going to get eaten alive for this but...
Marines are getting the all time low amounth of new recruits at the moment. To me this seems like "slightly" colored version of what might have really happened. Wouldnt be the first case where the military hands out a medal to boost the moral of the troops and encourage new recruits (Jessica Lynch, anyone? After she got her medal the number of female recruits got a clear boost).
