i would've gotten atleast 2gbs of decent ram. second when that happens it's usually the ram on your vid card that is overheating. on the other hand it could very well be defective so if you can't find a solution at rage3d forums i suggest returning it and getting your money back. then buy either a 6800gt or x800pro-vivo so u can mod to xt pe.

Yes the stock fan is running fine.

My PSU is a Antec 480 watt

I dotn think its heat - I added another large fan blowing directly on the ATI card, and the system temp is anywhere from 35-40c or so - so i dont think its the heat.

SAME THING HAPPENS ON SWAT4 DEMO?

download atitool and set it to you show your gpu temp. then post what it is. also might wanna try omega drivers.

dont worry dude. i had the same problem untill i got the second gig of memory.

2gb and the problem will go away

Im still not sure if its a lemon - im going to try to take it back to the store today.

yeah, it's the card. Not that i'm a Nvidia fanboy but it seems ATi cards are having some issues with graphical bugs in BF2, more than Nvidia cards. *hugs 6800gt*

Antec 480 watt - but the x800xl doesnt have any external power adapters, so i dont think its the PSU?
