I'd also rather prefer a patch every 2 weeks. Not only does this make balancing MUCH easier, but it doesn't give people time to stew. Theoretically that is what was supposed to happen with Steam but no one did it. This one patch every couple months SUCKS. If someone goes wrong, you wait a long time to get it fixed. A patch every two weeks is only 26 patches a year, but I am guessing that most of the time you wouldn't need a patch every two weeks.
Also, giving people a list of what is being fixed is a great idea. How can you even say this is bad? It pacifies people to a great degree.
