I take this as a good sign. So far, all we've seen is rushed work. They've constantly put everything out as soon as they could, just to 'please us'. The fact that they're delaying this shows that they're actually putting some effort into making sure it's a good release.

For people to complain as often & frequently as some on here I would have expected some recognition that having so many people complain about playing an unfinished product that they changed priorities to quality & completeness instead of hitting a target deadline.

You make a very valid point, especially considering the marketing survey that they just released. I voted very unlikely but said I could be persuaded to very likely if they took care of the major issues in the original. The completeness & quality of the next patch will be a huge indicator for me on the seriousness of their commitment. I think it's hard to argue though, that there's been no clear shift away from deadlines & towards finishing their product.

BTW it would not surprize me if if the delay on the patch wasnt to fix the problems in game but to actualy patch it so its more compatible with the expansion . It realy wouldnt surprize me if that was the case at all becouse basicaly if they change the code in any big ways they have to think about how thats gonna effect the code in the expansion.

Ditto, I've reinstalled Desert Combat and am going to play that until DICE fixes BF2.
