And you need to know about material penetration.....ie: that a wooden log or tin shed is no cover, just concealment. This is the most realistic part of BF2. In real life someone can pop you through a sheet of corrugated iron......same in the game......

You also need to remember that you an be sticking through a wall in the game and can be shot. If your legs are sticking out of the wall, people can kill you by shooting your legs. HUGE problem with this game!

Ummmm.. You don't think that being shot in the leg can kill you? lol Most of the main veins in your body is in your legs. Actually an AK could probably pretty much take your leg off, but since this game has a TEEN rating & NO blood, it won't show.

As for returning the game to EA for a full refund. That is a satisfaction gaurantee thing. It you ARE NOT satisfied ( I think it's 90 day), They WILL refund your money. Of course YOU have to pay for S & H.

I wish I could lose some interest in this game. I used to like getting some more hours sleep, but find I'm currently addicted to those little pixeled badges, Ribbons and medals. :salute:

I plan on writing a letter to EA requesting they refund my money due to the fact that the product is defective, which is in accordance to their return policy. And, I believe Battlefield 2 is defective.

as long as there has been games there has been cheating, and as long as there are games there will be cheating, everyones gotta live with it if you want to play them.

man, there just probably was an UAV running for the enemy, this is why they kept seeing you, also when the commander does a scan and he spots you somewhere hiding, he can say : enemy spotted bla bla bla, and the enemy team knows where you are.

You probably didn't play much online games yet, but BF2 is compared to other online game prety clear of cheaters, punkbuster works, and also the stats system scares cheaters because when they are caught there acount gets banned.

Ever playes CS before the VAC2 was out ? you had cheaters on every site and nothing to do about it, and for many other games the same

There is some cheating but nothing like in CS. I mean come on a member on these forums put up a screen shot, showing he had bright blue/red color skins and aimbot. I havent seen any real provable hackers yet though.

What a noob... yeah i see some cheating but nothing like Americas Army. Just because you got owned does not mean they are hackers! I was called a hacker once and got vote kicked out!!! because owned the whole USMC (11) when they where coming down the little hill on karkand, the noobs where mad because the SAW "sucks" so how was i owning them ??? I had to be using hacks.

If i get sniped i normally work out where it came from pretty easy (thanks to hit line) so i spawn, head back to get a free kill. Since most snipers stay still i just flank 'em, walk up behind and pop a cap in their noggin.....one shot, one kill.....

The ones where I was hit from afar, maybe. But a guy knowing which direction I was coming from every time and being able to kill me with one shot? Doubtful. There wasn't enough time for the UAV to recharge between times that I went after him (sorry, I confused UAV with AUV), he wasn't using grenades, our latency was about the same, and he wasn't using any long range weapons either. Oh, and he was able to take out other targets with one hit as well, no matter what weapon he used.

BTW, if you haven't noticed any cheating, then you don't know that there are cheats out there that will bypass PunkBuster. Either that or you're playing against AI bots.

I play on full 64p servers. If there's cheating and I don't see it, it's because I'm too busy having fun to notice. But also the odds are lower at encountering one face to face...

Regarding the UAV: it can be up practically constantly. On for 27 seconds, off for 3 seconds, on for 27, off for 3...

It's called gameplay. There are plenty of 1 shot weapons in the game. A lot of guys have played enough to be able to get head shots most of the time. Not to mention, how do you know it was one shot -- did you count?

As for being able to find you, it's called a UAV. Maybe you should read up on how they work. And they're more than capable of having an endurance over several spawn cycles.

I'd also like to have a dollar for every time I thought I was hidden where no one could possibly see me and I ended up getting wasted. Obviously you weren't hidden or maybe your legs were sticking through the wall and a guy shot them? I know I shouldn't, but i do that all the time.

there is another thread about the penetration, but none of my non-vehicle weapons are able to penetrate those things. however, other people said their pistols can shoot through those things, so i have no idea now.

yea cheating seems to be on the rise....last night on karkand i was getting shot by a mec sniper using the SVD.....first off the guy had no skill and i would get the "jump" on him so to speak, put 1-2 rounds with the m24 in his face to no avail....not much new there, but it got my attention combined with the fact he was standing up the entire time, killing me with one shot from the SVD......he was standing for ****s sake, and one shot kills from SVD doesnt happen that often, specialy 5-6 times in a row

Hey, I've been accused of cheating. I find guys all the time with a good commander placing an UAV. Sneak up on 'em, shoot them from afar.

So, don't get too fustrated, buddy!
