BF2 SUCKS Compared to Desert Combat

I agree with the OP, this game blows compared to DC in gameplay. Only things BF2 has going for it are graphics, sound and commander mode -- the rest of the game is garbage.

I really loved DC, but my friends went and got into CoD and I followed suit with them. After about a year or so of that, I tried to come back to DC but there was new patches, a whole new mod and alot more confusion on my part on how to update my DC properly. I was CTDing all the time.

If there's anyone out there that can link me to something that'll tell me exactly how to install it, I'd love ya forever. Must fly the Hind again!!

I won't say that DC or BF2 is 100% better or worse than the other, but DC has some things BF2 doesn't:
A lot more maps, and a wide selection of WELL BALANCED vehicles to stock the maps with (BF2 maps are diverse, but there's less of them, and 70% of them are just crammed full of every single vehicle in the game, so the map balance is really stupid)
But BF2 has way better graphics, and all those nice little feautres like sprinting and squads and etc.

BF2 definetely could have been better, I'll just say that.

It can't be, because Desert Combat had so much more stuff than BF2 has.

1. Bf2 has so many fewer types of vehicles.

Where's the scud?
Where's the MLRS?
Where's the minibird?
Where's just the average beat down car or tanker truck laying around?
Where's the ZSU?
The Vulcan?

2. Kits have fewer items.

No binoculars
Where's the damn Laser Designator we were promised?
Where's the shoulder launched anti-air?

3. Weapons are crap.

Anti-air missiles? Please.
.50 sniper rifle? No zoom and crap damage.
Light Machine Guns? Takes 400 rounds to kill someone.
Etc.

4. Bunny Hopping: Gay

5. Black Hawk can take up to 2 tank shots.

And the list goes on and on. Desert Combat was so superior to this game that it's difficult to imagine that the same people worked on both.

Yeah yeah, I know, the game is absolutely perfect. Everything is just right the way it is. What's funny is how assclowns like yourself will say things are still perfect when they get changed by each new patch. It's always perfect. Whatever is, is best.

007 needs to shut the **** up. If this game was supposed to model what DC was, then that wouldn't make sense, obviously. And that's all 007 wants, a game that's just like the mod that he drooled over.

I actually went back and played DC after quitting because there were so many immature *******s like 007 spamming the chat and tk-ing on purpose, and I have to admit, DC is the Garbage game compared to BF2. Screw the minibird, that thing is old, SCUDs are bad compared to Artillery and when I was playing DC...

Dude, you seriously have issues. Everyone including me are saying that the points 007 have made are valid and others agree. But you're so in love with the way BF2 is right now that you're willing to insult others and pathetic attempts at saying DC is garbage.

By the way, your attempt to insult DC is just plain stupid. Everyone knows DC was a great mod. It won awards, and the company was hired by EA to support BF2.

Im willing to bet if EA adds the minibird or scud (not saying they are) you'll agree with their decision or say "Thats a good idea, I thought of adding those before, Im glad EA read my mind."

I hate those stupid hele physics in BF2 (calling it physics is offensive to all laws of physics).. it was a HUGE f##king letdown... made for all those straight from 1942 to BF2 n00bs.. It totally ruin all the enjoyment of flying in a Battlefield game...

I bought BF2 and I'm in full right of complaining.. I bought a bad product, full of glitches and the stupid and lame n00b hele physics. Dice really really suck in fixing that product and coming with easy install patches..

I used to think I liked Dice.. actually it was Trauma Studios I was liking all the time.

Most of the positive things in BF2 were brought by Trauma Studios, for examble:

Squads
Spawning from Squad Leader
Commader
Medic
Assit kills
and many more

point is: screw EA if they dont come up with a big ass patch to give new maps, fix the bugs, in cas they dont (quiet probable) we'll just have to hope that several mods will fix that.
