ok. NObody ever checks this...

after you join a server and it goes back to server list, look in the bottom right corner of your screen, is there a yellow button saying "play now" button, or is there a "disconnect" button"? i get this some times.

If it says "disconnect" then just click somewhere on the screen (like Multiplayer tab, to close server list) and then hit "esc" and it should go back into the server. It does it to me every now and then, and sometimes i dont realize that i was not disconnected.

If it does say "play now" then ignore this post, no idea.

no it doesnt have d/c button, we cant join a game so that we have to d/c! We cant play online...period. It really blows, but that was a good idea, but not quite the case...thanks though haha

i really feel your heartache guys. this game isnt much without online functions.

wonder if it will work when gamspy arcade gets BF2 support, if it already hasnt got it ?

otherwise ive heard that some guys use Allseeing eye, however i cant confirm this.

it seems wierd if any of thoose would work, but its worth a try.

how about connecting to ip, or console connect ?

I saw another thread here where the guy mentioned that he was unable to join a server and wanted to reinstall but didn't have his CD key. He was then guided to a location in the registry to look for it and it wasn't there. Another post mentioned that he accidentally blanked his key out of the registry while looking for it and had the same issue with connecting to servers after that. Other posts report finding the key no problem. It might be worth it to check and see if your key shows up in the registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\egrc

If the EGRC key doesn't exist under the Battlefield 2 key, you might have a problem. My CD key is listed in the EGRC key as the (Default) REG_SZ key and contains no spaces. All alpha characters are uppercase.

If it disconencts right after hitting the 'connect' button then it may have a problem reading your CDKEY.

Try this :

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Support then click on the Battlefield 2_Code and put in your cd key and presto!! its fixed... it refreshes your the cdkey on you comp"
