A server with a respawn time of... wait for it... 2 minutes!
There, I said it. This would result in a few things:
No more kamikaze jets, jeeps, etc... unless there was some THOUGHT behind it and it had a reason other than to simply cause spam death.
When your TEAM took heavy casualties, you can BET you'd pull back to preserve manpower, because if you lose too many men (ratio wise) to the enemy, they can claim flags and its game over...
People, even the selfish ones, would value their lives more, so not EVERY SOLDIER on the filed would need to be RAMBO like it is now.
Risking the lives you KNOW you will lsoe in taking a flag/area would require slightly more careful planning and gathering of people before you do it, rather than as it is now- people all over the map willy nilly taking flags, losing, whatever...
WHen a jet is downed, it is DOWNED for god's sake for awhile!!!!! Same for choppers.... and tanks... you get the idea.
I think the more careful play would result in each class of soldier filling its role that much better, from the ammo guys, to the medis, to support (holding back an onslought so people can regroup and hold out), to sniper (covering an area and letting the enemy fear him long enough for a few peeps to respawn, etc...)
Communication would have to go UP UP UP. And the tension would be more white knuckled, I think.
