Not at all. Some servers had too long respawn times, and I agree 2 minutes is way too long, but 15 seconds is too short. And I think the respawn time on vehicles is way, way too short.

You also need to get rid of the crazy amounts of spawn killing thats goin on, as well as those guys in tanks that setup camp and just slaughter everyone that spawns/walks through the area

Here's a thought. Instead of increasing the initial spawn time, wouldn't it be more beneficial to create a suicide punishment? Whenever the game registers your death as a suicide, it tacks on a predetermined amount of time to your respawn. Say, an additional 15-30 seconds. Of course, the ability to revive the individual would cease at the 15 second mark.

On top of this, add a TK punishment of five seconds or so. It's been done in other FPS's, and works quite well.

100% agreed!! There's way too many APC's in this game, and once you shoot one down, it'll be back about a minute later

that wouldent be good because then people would just mine the bases, you would die and when you respawn there would be c4 all over the base and boom ur dead. with a 15 second spawn people dont have time to rig the whole map.

Solve spawn killing... that's easy. Man a lot of you have limited imaginations. Because solving one problem introduces another, doesn't mean it's bad, it means there are OTHER intrinsic problems to the game that need solving. So here, it's solved:

Punishing suiciders more severely is also another good idea.

As to those who have really heated objections to this idea, put it into context: it's about having a server with this option set longer than the default 15 secs... NOT pathcing the game so EVERYONE has to face it- I was jsut begging some server for the option. There would be plenty of us who would appreciate this playing style a lot more than the tripe and spam the 13 year olds serve up in their play style.

Your my hero. I mean I totally disagree, I like the shirt respawns. But that last part about just making for a server and not changing the game for eveybody is a welcome change from all the people who want to change the game for everybody just because something doesn't suite their playingstyle. If I had money i would give you a server.
