k:d doesn't mean much. You may see some guy with ar eally high one, but then look and see he spends 90% of the time in tanks and apcs.

I dotn see why people are so obsessed about stats and ratios... Just enjoy the game how its meant to be enjoyed. Just kill and die..., thats what i do, i'll admit that i have more deatsh than kills... but wow, does anyone care what stats i have. I wouldnt go wow, that guy has a ratio of 6:1, he must be the ebst there is. If hes playing only to empress and hes not having fun, then he's a retart. Now, im not flaming no, i find it fascinating how people go on and on about stats. If i made a new accoutn and played serious "all" the time and camped heaps and played defenses, then sure, i'd get a good KD ratio, everyone and anyone can get a good ratio, the question is, does that person wanna waste he gaming time trying to impress others when no one cares what you got because people only care about there stats and showing off there stats. You think about it, you couldnt care less what someone on these forums got, you only care about your score right...

Im just making a point, i hope no one thinks im flaming becuase i cant see why anyone would get pissed of over a thread like this... Im just making an observation...

anyway, enjoy bf2 in the way you enjoy it most, if thats sitting in the corner and waiting 10mins for a guy to run past so you dont die but get 6 kills, then play like that. If you like runnign out there and getting into intense combat and action, then good on you and by all means do that.

Man, you must be good at finding servers with no skilled pilots on the other side... I can make a good 30-0 round on oman just shooting down the bomber whores with a JSF... And man, do they whine about it...

I've run into other good clan pilots in omans flying their F-35's. But I never get shot down really, even in the bomber. Since my BF42 flying days, it's embedded in me to naturally constantly be hitting my flyby and front chase cams, so I know when there's a pilot behind/near me that is trying to shoot me down in bombing mode (no firing lock sound), and while I've had quite a few stay on my tail for 10 seconds or so and dedicate to shooting me down, you can always hit a good combo of turns/rudder going straight up or down combined with some booster to shake them.

It's a lot lot easier getting people off your six as a bomber in this game than it was in '42. Especially if your hands are trained to hump your camera buttons. :)

well it depends about what you are using to kill. With an airplane your kd ratio should be something like 10:1 and 5:1 with an armor and with an infantryman over 1 is good imo

i almost have a ratio of 2.0 and thats my goal. My motivation is usually dependant on the class. When im a killing class Spec ops, AT. I usually am dissapointed in getting a 1.0 to 1.2 ratio or so, and try to gun for atleast 1.5 As a team kit though, since im trying to help the team, i throw the K/D ratio out the window and just help out as much as a can while killing along the way, Usually i get from 0.8 to 1.0 or so, but help teammates in the process so its fine by me.

i think mine is .77 but who gives a damn it's because of my style of play and the fact that FPS games have never seemed to be easy for me but i still get good points so there lol

It all depends on what and how you play. If I play assault I usally have the most kills but I always also have the most deaths because I'm right in there giving shit to everyone. If I play spec ops or sniper I usually have higher K/D. Also all depends on if you like to go commander or engineer or .. if you like to tank whore. K/D ratio is illrelivent if you ask me. Although individual class K/D ratios are relevant.

I got a .7 ratio becuase i've been playing support and medic a lot lately. Got 14 revives with medic in one 32 player Karkand round, got like 3 kills. It was great, i don't really care too much about k:d ratio.
