What's a good K/D ratio

ur overall k/d is worthless, k/d with a weapon or vechical is more accurate of your skill. if your 4/1 but 90% of your kill are from tank whoring meh who cares. if your 3/1 with the carbine then your good, simple as that....

I think everyone is forgeting the most important factor in K : D do you have a medic around to revive you? That is were having a good squad with a medic or 2 can do wonders to your K : D...

Im at 1.28 personaly i dont take any notice of my k/d ratio as long as its above 1 i get raped to much armour and artillary and all the tk's are nuts in this game .

Yeah, I'd say above 1 is good, above 2 is above average.

I have a k/d ratio of .73, but a team ratio of .93, which is MUCH higher than the average player.

Mine sucks too, but I play as career Medic, medics arn't supposed to have good kill/death ratios... And TBH i worry about people who care too much about they're ratio, they're usually the smacktards who are farming.

I have a decent 1.5 ratio... don't really care as long as my team wins.

Support is my class and my KDR is only better than 1 from my tank whoring. If I play straight up with only the LMG i end up 1-2. If I nade spam and use the pistol some I can go 3-1 on occaision. Im getting better, plus all those resupply points are sweet.

You know I totally disregard K/D ratio in BF2 to be honest. I mean, you take a guy like me that when he is on the ground, always plays support (with the PKM). Now, I can hold a 1-1:KD ratio with the PKM, as it says on my stats, but that's no easy task I can assure you. It's a lot easier to get killed an shot when you have to go prone and be in 1 spot to be accurate with the support guns. Then you take everyone else on karkand using the assault grenade launchers and jumping all over the place, hell you better have at least 2-1KD if you are one of those people. Or even medic, they can jump around like crazy and still get kills and rarely get killed.

So, it's all depending what class you play normally.

You know what I've been doing the past few days? I've been strictly playing 64-man Gulf of Oman ranked servers, getting in the MEC Bomber, and just whoring that thing. I'm always ending up 1st place with over 50 kills (100+ points), and NO DEATHS, sometimes 1 death if there's a lag. If you know how to keep that thing in the air and fly high on gulf of oman, you will have a consistent 50-0 KD Ratio.

So, like I said, it all depends what you play. Expect someone like support or sniper to have a sucky ratio compared to an assault/medic.

Man, you must be good at finding servers with no skilled pilots on the other side... I can make a good 30-0 round on oman just shooting down the bomber whores with a JSF... And man, do they whine about it...
