Talk to any forigen commander that worked with the US, they are known for their motivation to bomb the **** out of anything and their light trigger finger. "When the british shoot, the german duck, when the german shoot, the british duck, when the americans shoot, everyone ducks".

So it is the people firing on the Americans that are causing the civilians to die, not the Americans.

They can't win the fight, but they can win the politics. If someone who wanted to pull the troops out of Iraq had won the election, they would then have achieved their goal. Imagine the boost it would give them if they got a victory like that, knowing that they can push the US around.

You know what does the US do when their base gets mortar shelled? they track the place, and send their artillery firing for a good amount of time to make sure everything's dead, they dont even stop to see if the mortars are in a populated area. When they detect insurgent action they send their F15s to bomb it, and the bombs stray a good amount off their direction so they send alot more than one and again, not caring if the place is populated, they use their heavy chopper gunships for covering fire in the middle of a city, all that and they cant keep one street in their control. Need any more examples? the US may not like killing civilians but they certainly dont give a **** if it happens.

We care, but it is not out fault if they hide in the midst of civilians. They do this hoping we kill civilians in a hope to support their ideas. Sadly this tactic works.

Yeah. Not to mention they wear civilian clothing, making it even harder from us to distinguish between the enemy and the civilians... causing civilians to sometimes be caught in the crossfire or just to be simply mistaken as an enemy.

Maybe if they'd grow a scrotum and some balls, put on a distinguishable uniform, and come out to fight us like real men, they'd learn a lesson or two about how a REAL war is fought.

everyone feels differently about the war, and with good reason.

Munchies, you criticize americans for seeing the whole war as a black and white issue, well to us it IS black and white...we dont want to see american soliders get killed. plain and simple. while I do support our troops I do not agree with all aspects of the war.

everyone seems to miss the entire point of this conflict, we are attempting to unroot the terrible oppression Inherent in a dictatorship and give the citizens of Iraq freedom to govern themselves...by doing so we hope to turn the surround nations towards the same goal and provide a role model for peace. I realize that the US army is using an excessive amount of force to accomplish this, and that is what I dont agree with.

and by the way, shouting "youre just after the oil! youre just after the oil!" is just plain ridiculous. OF COURSE we are...the first thing you need to realize is that every single political action in the history of mankind can be boiled down to a economical purpose. If you can name one thing that did not have a monetary influence at its root ill be very impressed.
