Oh I agree, I do like democracy as well as it gives freedom of choice. But I am just trying to show him that he does not have to agree with the cause, just support the soldiers.

That link should help you out a bit. It isn't just the average Iraqi who is fighting, it is mostly the people who had all the power and abused it and now lost it all, and people from other countries.

The insurgents and terrorists are working together. Light trigger finger? You make it sound as if they enjoy killing Iraqis, do you enjoy killing Iraqis? Do you know anyone who does? So why would they?

theres been a handfull of solders that have just because to them any iraqi is the enemy. Thats a handfull though, almost all service men and women are doing their job. I know I couldnt do what they do every day :salute:

You know what does the US do when their base gets mortar shelled? they track the place, and send their artillery firing for a good amount of time to make sure everything's dead, they dont even stop to see if the mortars are in a populated area. When they detect insurgent action they send their F15s to bomb it, and the bombs stray a good amount off their direction so they send alot more than one and again, not caring if the place is populated, they use their heavy chopper gunships for covering fire in the middle of a city, all that and they cant keep one street in their control. Need any more examples? the US may not like killing civilians but they certainly dont give a **** if it happens.

They do care when it happens, how many people do you know that are in the war? Have any sources to back those claims up?

To me the definition is clear, if you target and kill civilians intentionally, you are a terrorist. If you kill emeny soildiers, you are not qualified as a terrorist. So those who did 911 are terrorists, and those set the road side bombs and shot down us choppers in Iraq, are called insurgents or enemy combatants.

Even Bush knows the difference.

Then again this is a contradiction of its own self.... How can you "not like" something.. and at the same time "not give a ****". If you do NOT like it... doesn't that mean that you DO care about it?
