Hey I just see giving respect out for having lots of free time as a little dumb and it just encourages stat padding in others that also want hollow respect.

Stats are not about skill they are a measurement of free time. The problem is they have become important amongst youngsters trying to prove they have a big E-dick and this encourages stat padding and cheating.

Still as you also believe this is an achievment I am sure you would never agree with me.

No that's the thing I don't think this is an achievement or anything at all. I just don't see the harm in saying congrats, that's what I was explaining in my previous post: saying congrats is just a common saying in video games, nothing special. In fact I completely agree with you, the ranking system measures time played that's all, but I honestly don't see the problem in just saying congrats to the guy, it's not a sign of respect or anything. Just a ordinary congrats, the same I would say to a guy who finished a hard quest in WoW. That is all!

THE GUY DOSENT WORK!!! (12% lol) he has a paper round 3 days a week! how difficult is that concept to grasp??? how many hours a day do you work? 8? 9? 10? how many days a week? 5? 6? 7? AND do you by any chance sit at a computer during those hours? is that sad? (wait for the "well i get payed for it" argument, well lots of people get payed a lot more for not sitting at a pc!)

I work 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week, i also play when i can (about 36 hours total so far and i suck but still have fun) and so i guess i have "no life" now as well? jesus christ grow-up will you when did you start making the definitions of "sad" and "normal" how much do YOU play a week (stats link?) on top of working, posting 170 threads TALKING about a game you play and your "normal" sleep (you sleep 33% of the time? 8 hours a day? every day? i wish we all had the time to spend that long in bed!! :shock: )

So far these are the haters in the thread, some much worse then others, i wonder how many of them can even breath from the irony of posting that someone is sad for playing too much on a BF2 message board with over QUARTER OF A MILLION! posts :shock: its most amusing to me anyway if not to them. By joining this forum you might as well have another tickbox "by selecting this box i confirm i have an unhealthy interest in a computer game, so much so i even spend time talking about it with 15,000 other people" :salute:

There are some amusing posts from them all regarding how sad someone is and how they have no life, especially fun from people with massive sig pictures of all thier stats and awards they want the world to see but if there was an irony award this would win.

I was so bored at work today, me and 2 guys who are in my squad and also co-workers started thinking over about how much time in his life he wastes.

Perhaps most amusing of all is the fact the its ONLY the haters so far that have even talked about him being the "best" player or in fact him being better then anyone :laugh: This thread was merely to congratulate the guy for being promoted another rank, everyone knows he plays half the day, every day, but everyone that plays a lot THEMSELVES went on the defensive without even thinking first??!!?? If i had the time and money, i would probably play 12 hours a day as well, maybe not just BF2 but who here wouldnt rather play games fulltime then work/study the same hours

I have played alot of online games in my time, and I see this all the time (monika- SWG, conquest-WoW, etc..). someone or some group acheives something way before anyone else does and all of a sudden threads start popping up about how they would have the same stats but unfortunately they have a life and cant play the game 24/7... about how they are kids with no jobs, losers with no girlfriends, nerds in their parents basement... blah blah blah

The fact is that all these people are just as obsessed with stats and wish they had as much time to play as elektric. Its jealousy, it really is, dont sit at your computer armed with insults and deny that.

Ask yourself why you have stats in your sig.
Ask yourself why you are here on the forum.
Ask yourself why you play on ranked servers instead of non-ranked....
Ask yourself why you haul ass to get in that black hawk thats about to take off....

Come on, you cant seriously insult this guy becuase he played 400 hours and you only played 250.

elektric has 215 hours on mashtuur/karkand/peninsula, and only about 150 on every_siingle_other_ map in the game.

he obviously only plays for points...possible making up for a lack of things to boast about in the rest of his life :)

p.p.s. i agree that dizoi is good, yet note that he also has over 53 hours on karkand and only 20-30 hours max on any other map. he also seems to spend most of his game time in armour, so we can conclude that he spends his play time in a tank, on karkand, and hence would have an easy time getting large KD's and score/mins.

then again he still looks like a damn good player, as you memntioned only just over 200 hours and coming sixth. congratz dizoi. i can only hope you know how to construct sentences better then elektric :)
