at what parts were they jerky? i really really wish to elimiate all jerky camera movents but sometimes you cant help it.. a high sensitivity mouse will show even the smallest of movements, but i tried my best.. epsecially at the parts where it was zoomed in

at the very beginning of "ambush" when you pan into the temple and rotate and do the white flashes theres some jerkyness. And also at the beginning when you rotate around the american running to the blackhawk. Some more jerky rotations throughout but the most dramatic jerkyness is in the beginning.
What system do you run and why type of mouse?
You could make trailers for movies or something man.

yeah, one of my friends picked that up before it was released.. the shakyness when i pan into the temple.. reason being is that when your zoomed so close up like that, every movment gets magnified. i have a logitech mx510 mouse but my sensitivity for it is pretty high for it, and i have 3ghz processor 1 gig ram, radeon 9800 pro 128mb, and plenty of space (dual 150 gig harddrives with 300 gig external).. my specs are not the best, so i cannot run bf2 on high.. bummer, but ill live with it..
but let me ask you this, is there less jerky camera movements on the ambush video verses the assault video? im trying to improve on ever video i make, so any small detail ill try to work on

Wow, I've seen a lot of the movies that were posted in these forums but wow, this movie is the ONLY movie that gives the superb ingredients for a good film. Its too bad this film was so short but the rest of the crap movies I see are so long.

Good work! If you keep it up, pretty soon all of us will be too awed watching your movies to play, lol

The "filming" in this one is much better. But I liked the music and the premise of the first one more.

THis movie is the coolest I have seen so far, but .. does not get the highest point total, because of the player names .. without them, this would have been 100 out of 100 points :) .. I especially liked the ambush itself (the helo popping out from the canal) .. awsome man

                      Awesome...but

It's nicely filmed, but it would be much better if it was longer. I also thought that the camera positions in the the movie was pretty well set.

                        bravo

The first video has very good editing, which was done with very simple techniques to pull of it off. What I like most is the use of higher framerate scenes for the slow motion.

The flashy editing by doing quick crossfades along with raising the RGB levels up and down (that's how I'd do it in Premiere at least) gave it a very Ridley/Tony Scott/Jerry Braukheimer (sp?) feel. I also like the color correction done to the picture, that is I'm assuming that's what they did since the the picture is mostly yellowish tones. I'm not sure since I don't have the game yet.

The music was something I least expected to hear. "Bushido" by BrandX which is something you'd have to spend some time in P2P to find unless you know people who has it and other songs of it's kind, cause music companies like BrandX, Immediate Music, and X Ray Dog don't release their stuff to the public. You have to dig around to find leaked albums and such, which I won't disclose any info on how so don't ask. (this place can get shut down)

I won't complain on the user names and the jerky movement cause it's almost unavoidable when trying something like this. My only complaint is they should of gone all the way with the whole movie feel and used a widescreen resolution, something like 1.85:1 or my favorite, 2.35:1 . Cause I did some cropping and resizing on the video with ffdshow while watching this and it does look damn good in widescreen (especialy the 2.35:1 AR I mentioned earlier).

You know it makes me wonder if it would be cool to make a mod for this game, set up soley for filming in game movies and such. Something with like 2 sets of classes, the regular classes with soldiers (actors) and a whole other group with the camera men. Setting up automated camera movements and stuff.

Oh well, good job on the short movie, who ever made it, aside from the names in the credits.

EDIT: BTW, a technical complaint I forgot to mention. There's one big mistake that I saw. The use of the 720x480 resolution. Now if you were authering this video for DVD, then there wouldn't be any problem, however since this is obviously not the case for this copy of the video since it's encoded in xvid and not mpeg2, you should of made the video 640x480 for the proper full screen aspect ratio. And don't say you were just lazy, that's no excuse for not taking the extra 2 seconds to resize the video.
