Of course you can get m203'd.. there's no stopping that. But the guns are -NOT- innacurate when you're prone. The PKM has the power to take down an entire squad before they know what hit them, like the above poster said. You guys are begging for improved accuracy, but when EA gives you what you want you'll be crying because there are so many support guys tearing maps apart. The class is dominant enough as it is. Play it for what it is, and realize that it is not a rambo class.

Im warning you all now. Add accuracy without putting some sort of penalty and we will have the BF vietnam M60 fiasco all over again. I will agree that a tiny bit of accuracy is needed while lying down only, but I mean tiny.

Just some info i found about the SAW:

"The M249 AR provides accurate fire approaching that of the rifle yet gives the heavy volume of fire common to a machine gun."

"It has a regulator for selecting either normal (750 rounds per minute [rpm)) or maximum (1,000 rpm) rate of fire."

"Although the M249 AR is primarily used as an automatic rifle, it is also used as a light machine gun."

"In the defense, they add the firepower of 10 or 20 riflemen without the addition of manpower."

seems like it should be more accurate and more powerful than it is.
hmm...a lot of people who are against this are talking about the pkm, while a lot of the people who are for it are talking about the other guns it seems. i haven't ahd a chance to use a pkm yet.

The SAW is insanely accurate when prone.. I mean insanely. You can pick anyone off with burst fire.

IMO, each class needs some weakness, otherwise you have super classes with too much power. a classes weakness may be low armor, only a short range weapon, etc. in the Support classes case, they have more "spray & pray" type weapons (except for the PKM un-lock, which is a great piece of ordinance).

I agree with many people here the support is not easy to control but it requires a lot of skill. However these maps are big as hell and even in close combat a pistol will do well.

Support weapon is fine in my opinion. I can rack up kills without a problem by simply burst firing. I agree with big_sammy's suggestion though - put an optional bipod on there for increased accuracy but more limited gun movement.

it already has a bipod. doesn't seem to affect anything though.

Voted accuracy. I wish my PK had the chance of hitting someone 50% of the time over 100 meters if I fire 1 shot per second. I might as well pull out my sniping pistol at that range.

More accuracy should do it. Just a tad but other than that the support kit is fine.

Glad to see so many think these guns need an accuracy boost. I like the idea of adding the bipod ability before getting that accuracy boost. Would make this gun really fun to use and compete against.

For those of you who didnt play BF:Vietnam (and from the way people are posting, there are quite a few of you) you do not want to add a bunch of accuracy or you WILL end up with the M60 all over again. If you dont know how unbalanced that gun was in BF:V, then you wont understand.
