Of course not, but it is making the game 'not fun' for lots of people and there really is no point in doing it. It's not like there's a prize for the person with the most knife kills or revives. It is utterly pointless.

I think stat padders would use their time better if they were to go find their dads' magazines and have a bat instead. That too is a repetitive action seen as pointless by some but probably ultimately more rewarding.

I'd just rather stat padders would piss off to some server reserved for stat padding away from the rest of us and for all I care they can all peel off their camo and lie in a big pile and not come out 'till they are all sergeant majors.

I think definitely ban. Doing this does not add to the game it only detracts from and it also affectively takes at least 2 people out of the game while they whore. A lot of the time there will be 2 people, 1 on each team, and they whore on teammates who are just trying to play and have fun. If you read the EA agreement this is definitely behaviour warranting a big ol' fat BAN.

Where in the EULA does it say a player may not accumulate points in one way or another? Its still just a game so put your energy into things like getting EA/DICE to make the game better. I mean, if enough of us complain about things like this (reviving the same player 10 times in a row or something) I'm sure DICE can put in some code to prevent it. But banning these people is not the way to go. They bought the game same as us and have the right to use it which ever way they want within the frame of the game. But DICE can change the game without notice, this I'm sure is in the EULA.

Remember these people paid their $50 or so for BF2, and multiply that by 1 million...

That means EA took in $50,000,000 from BF2...

in my opinion they shouldnt be banned for a number of reasons.

firstly, from their stats it looks like gumble has only just gotten the game with a score of 2500, so if he spent his $50 or $100 on a great game to sit in the corner of the map all the time and get 300 a round good for him i hope hes having fun

secondly, it removes 3 players from the game, which is 3 less idiots you have to deal with.

thirdly, it doesnt have any effect on me because a) they wont get very far very quickly in terms of the leaderboard and b) they will eventually get bored of doing the same thing over and over.

so to rephrase i dont care if they get banned or not cos ultimately it has no effect on me

ultimately, what you just said, with all the other meta-issues set aside, is exactly the point. they ARE effecting other folks' games, buy virtue of tying up spots for other players who are interested in playing the game.

it affects us as other people have said by not letting people who actually want to play, play. yeah, it removes 3 people from the game, and if they are on my team, why should i have t play with 3 less people so that its not a fair match?

Ban them without question. They aren't contributing anything to the game, are violating the EULA hands down, and are using up multiple spots that could be filled by players who will play as a team.

This has nothing to do with "free expression". Cheating/exploiting your way to a higher rank lessens the experience for those who paid good money to play this game. And I don't mean the simple $50 for the DVD, I mean the obscence amount of upgrades it took just to make this game run smoothly. So, for the couple hundred bucks I spent on hardware and the $50 I spent on the game, I'm expected to tolerate a clan full of 13-year olds who do nothing except sit at the back of the map and rearm themselves 200 times for the duration of a game?

Don't think so. I'll ban em' and let 2 real players into the game. Plus, if I remember, I'll send EA a screen just to try and get their "precious" stats reset, effetively ruining their 12-hours worth of stat padding.

A good Admin. is the best tool to use against a bunch of kiddie noobs who have to cheat to get a pixelated medal or some new Sgt. stripes.
