I totally agree with the feelings on waiting for the 1.03 patch. I unlocked the G36C at Corporal and then I realized, "Spec Ops blows right now"...

Also, the whole teamkill issue is enough to make me stop playing, it's just ridiculous. Here's to hoping that 1.03 is the saving grace...

Until then I plan on spending more time with other games, Liz, etc.

The game is repetitive...true.. especially with only 10 maps..

If EA wasnt such a hard ass control freak, theyd open their game
up more to maps, mods, etc.. but nah, they want TOTAL CONTROL...

Look at Unreal Tournament..99..2003...2004.. doesnt matter, any of
them.. ALL have hundreds, and thousands of maps, mods, mutators,
etc etc etc... keeps the game fresh..

If EA was more like EPIC we'd all be in better shape.. EPIC knows how
to publish and support a game... EA doesnt.

I get bored to death playing the large maps, all you do is walk around and get bombed by a plane, shot by a chopper or run into a tank/apc while you have a m16

karkand is a fun map, but people need to release some mods with CQB maps

What the game really needs is more maps and for gosh sake MORE GAME TYPES...enough with the conquest...give me something, anything else to choose from, not just an expansion pack with more of the same. :wall:

Good game types:
Domination(similar to conquest but different enough to be enjoyable)
Capture the Flag(*salivates*...shouldn't every online FPS have this!?)
Assassination(one team has a VIP that they have to defend, they gain points every time said VIP lives for x amount of time, other team gets points for killing him)
Hostage Rescue(that'd be fun, maybe)

Domination and CTF for sure.

Bored what the?

I've had a forced break from BF2. My DVD died on me and I've been too chicken for a ***** patch.

Anyway, just when I thought I might be getting bored, I started trying to fly using a joystick and it opened up a whole new game for me, not to mention maps.

I'm in search for the "perfect" game, I've come close with Teams using voip and a smart commander. That's where I get true satisfaction from BF2.

Seems to me that the people getting bored of the game are the one's who play one map.

I agree that KARKAND is by far the best. . . but the other ones can be fun as well. . . if I play only Karkand, I get bored. But it is nice to switch it up and it keeps karkand fresh.

However, it seems I haven't played as much as you guys have.

I'm not playing as much as I used to. could be the feel of never getting to unlock a 2nd gun. am at 5000+ now and it feels like I'm never gonna get my pkm. so yes the amount of hours playing each day has droped. hopefully the feeling will come back so I can play as much as I did before.

I have to admit that over the past 10 days or so my daily time alloted to my girlfriend has dropped considerably. Most nights I hop in bed and play a round, 2 at most and then call it quits, then back to Karkand. I'm not sure why but I guess I'm just getting a little bored with it or something. I know part of the reason is that I've been grenade whoring more, spending more time away from her. Giving BF2 some due attention, and last but not least playing other girls besides Liz , bless her heart.

I'm sick of CTD errors and bugs.....i spent $100 on a pretty average game (code wise) so until it plays how i would expect a purchased and apparently brilliant game should play, i too have played it sweet FA......

the key to not getting board is trying new roles and operating different vechicles and aircraft. Also, when youplay on an organized side, with communication and teamwork, it doesn't get old.

Try playing for fun and not for stats.

I concurr..... taking breaks whether forced or not makes it nice when you get back or have time. This used to happen on JO (hours upon hours of playing) once it got remotely boring we would try and switch maps, missions etc.... i.e. unlimited time server maps and take a raft and pirate some boats, stuff like that.

N E way, not to that point on BF2 just trying to enjoy any game time I get..
