It will come to you evetually...
Other than that i suggest you work on your orientation for example.
Learn how the maps are laid out and never loose your orientation.
Always know a good retreat if you are outgunned and try to shoot at one target at a time, dont panic.
What else can i say?

If you don't feel like you are playing well with the weapons, try commander. I see you haven't played any commander. Learn how to play and make it "your thing", you will get a lot of points, especially if your team wins. A good commander is a very important thing for a team to have.
The bottom line is, it doesn't matter how good you do or what your stats are, just try to have fun, that's what games are for. Anybody that tries to make it more than that isn't going to have any fun.Comment

Hang in there
Thirdeyepry,
Hang in there man, I just got BF2 and never played it either. I got slaughtered my first 24 hours, but I'm getting better now. All I can say is practice, practice, practice. Defiantly join a squad that actual "Team Work" is taking place, it makes the game so much better. You’re more than welcome to be in my squad anytime, my player nickname is Hodges87Comment

Remember that you’re competing with people who have been playing FPSs for years. It’s really just a matter of getting used to the game mechanics of the genre. When I came back to first person shooters with Battlefield Vietnam after a four/five year hiatus I spent a lot of time very frustrated, dying as soon as I’d spawned, etc.
It’s really just a matter of practice and your opponents have a lot more than you. If you want to improve, play. If it’s too frustrating, quit. It’s a game and it should be fun. If you’re not having fun perhaps you should try another game.
Don’t worry about stats. As ikilled007 illustrated above, stats do not make the player. You can have the best stats in the world but if you’ve got a lousy personality I’d rather not have you on my team.
Play, do your best, have fun.Comment
, but then short of weapons unlocking i arnt bothered bout stats, i just have fun.
