I started CTD at end of round if a new map loads. as a result i try to find serevrs that are playing the same map a bunch of times. once it does a map change though, i am gone.
-not hardware, i used to play as long as a wanted on this exact rig (although something could have gone bad)
-used to also lag on initial login to account, thought it was related but fixed bfhq lag by removing fav servers in the general.con file (explained in some other post) but i still ctd to desktop on map change
-rarely it will do a map change and NOT crash
-my vid drivers are prob messed up but seem unable to install newer ones am using 79.11 or something (install new ones boots but monitor is black with small greeninsh non-blinking cursor sized thing in top left, have to reset, and install older drivers in safe mode cant figure it out)
-same as prev post it looks like it is minimizing bf2 but unlike that poster, when mine does that it never comes back
-when it crashes its way faster than when i actually quit from the menu. when i quit from menu it takes a while to 'spool down' and get back to desktop, when crashing its just 'poof' back to desktop
-too lazy to reinstall windows or even just remove/install bf2 again
-actually thinking about using as excuse to upgrade system but cant deal with the price seems like now a days its worse than ever with sata PCIx16 and whatever going to have to replace it all
