You really should have added a "I do not get CTDs on XXX with XXXX based cards", otherwise we have nothing to base the numbers off of. There could just be a bunch of Intel/nVidia users and 15% get CTDs, and only a few AMD/ATI users but 40% get CTDs, or vice-versa, and the way the poll is set up it would look like the Intel/nVidia got more CTDs than AMD/ATI or whatever.

I had CTD before. It did it pretty frequent too! Sometimes I would just reboot my PC if it did CTD and then I could play for a good couple of hours then it would CTD. I then re-formatted my HD, re-installed WinXP w/ SP2, update drivers and now it doesn't CTD! My specs: P4 3.2 w/ HT, 2GB ddr PC3200, ATI x700Pro 256MB AGP, Abit IS7 mobo.

i get them all the time is this something common..i mean is is a game issue that theyll had to try and fix in a patch or is my comp screwed because i cant even play a full game:cry:

Hi guys I thought this may assist the developers find out which hardware was causing the most problems if any. From what I have read over the last month or so seems to be a larger amount of users that have AMD 64 Systems have more problems than Intel systems and standard AMD systems. Lets see if we can put together some sort of picture.

I aint never suffered from any desktop crashes whilst using BF2 , to be honest this is the most stable machine I have built ... 8-)

My pc ctd pretty randomly, but the last few times I have played I have been defraging befor I play and have not experianced any crashes. I dont play as much as I did befor, I will play more if EA can fix this problem. Thats the only thing I dont like about bf2.

I CTD rarely...maybe has happened once or twice since buying the game.

Mine was caused by the IOMEGA ZIP DRIVE, deletd driver and fixed!

Hi guys,

Get CTD very often lately. Only at Multiplay .Crashed started after I installed the patches. Also didnt have a single crash when playing the pre-game demo, played that for hours and hours. It really is a major turnoff......

its crashing because we have Refresh Rate at 100hz... put 85hz will not crash try it

HAHAHAHAHAHA. First of all I used to have that problem with the completely random crashes. Though in my case the worst I had was it just exited and ended bf2. First of all updated everything video card driver windows update everything that has directly to do with your computer. Secondly use like Norton or MacAfee and do a complete virus scan. If you don't have ether spyware and ad-ware is slowing down your computer and more importantly your bandwidth. If you didn't know you have to fiddle with your computer quite a bit in order to get maximum performance. I did this with my computer which is not that good and I can run bf2 on the internet with everything a medium and it run without even the lag spikes that I always got in cs:s. I just to finish this all off I also always have Norton with everything on set on high and the winsp2 firewall set on high. Fear my l33t skillZ.

for the 1 time i'm getting CTD I have had 3 and it's making me mad. I do have a Blue screen when i start my computer say "000000000XX" I don't rember what it said off the top of my head to I know It's the sound card it never did this when i didn't have the thing. Ive used the card for two 2 three week with no CTD's I should uninstall my overclocker for my video card. I'll truble shoot as soon as I get off work and tell you if i fiv the problem.

getting CTD about every 40 mins... sometimes i get lucky and it only freezes for 15 secs or so.. 80% of time i hit the desktop

Ok my problem is "FIXED"
Updated driver, windows, and added 1024MB of ram! Im all good now.
