A game like BF2 scales the size of objects with regards to your resolution. The only thing a higher resolution does is to divide the picture into smaller pixels. You can see it well on curves and lines, they get smoother when the resolution is increased. In BF1942 I noticed the game changed somewhat in 1280 compared to 1152 but I can't say I've noticed anything in BF2. I have used both 1152 and 1280 but I prefer 1280 without AA. I think AA takes away too much clarity. If I go higher than 1280 my old 21" CRT looses too much clarity..

I'm running 2048x768 right now (2x 1024x768), and run BF2 full screen on one of the monitors. As soon as I get my new monitors and gfx card, I'll bump both monitors up a few resolutions,

people that think theres no difference in 1024 to 1280 your insane, its unbarable to play at 1024x768 it looks like trash! everything is so big and fuzzy. look at teh trees in that res it makes me puke. in 1280 though everything looks so sharp and crystal clear dont give me bullcrap about 1024 looks clear casue it doesnt unless your ona 15 inch moniter.

Can you actually read son? Who said it looked sharp and crystal clear at 1024x768. Folks are saying they prefer that resolution as being more confortable on their older eyes.
