A game like BF2 scales the size of objects with regards to your resolution. The only thing a higher resolution does is to divide the picture into smaller pixels. You can see it well on curves and lines, they get smoother when the resolution is increased. In BF1942 I noticed the game changed somewhat in 1280 compared to 1152 but I can't say I've noticed anything in BF2. I have used both 1152 and 1280 but I prefer 1280 without AA. I think AA takes away too much clarity. If I go higher than 1280 my old 21" CRT looses too much clarity..
