    Who prefers 1024x768?

With all the advacements in displays and graphics cards, who here still plays BF2 at 1024x768, and why?

I'm running a athlon 64 3700+ and a 6800 GT, and I still play at 1024x768. For some reason my aim is better with bf2, and it feels like I can turn around faster. I find myself turning up the details levels, and cranking the AA/AF, but leaving the resolution at 1024. I'm gaming on a 19" Dell p991 Trinitron CRT.

Do others feel the same way?

When playing on LCD's, setting it to your native resolution looks thebest in my opinion. I have a Dell 2001fp with a 1600x1200 native resolution and tried it with 1600x1200 with bf2. It looked "WAY" better than the smaller resolutions. It looks crisp, sharp, and there was no jaggies even though i had AA and AF off. Even the menus looked alot more crisp. When I have smaller resolutions on all the lines and font looked blurry like some pixels were trying to mix it in. When I had it on my native resolution all the pixels were exact (either white of black, not half and half) so it looked alot better. I think setting your resolution to your screens native resolution will look the best because its not trying to scale it to fit your monitor so you get crisp non spread out image. Ofcourse this only has to do with LCD's since they show the picture differently than CRTs. Its just oo bad i cant run it that hight without gettin crap framerates. Im almost thinking about gettin a new vid card. Oh knoes

I play 1024x768 just so I can keep those FPS's up during intense battles. My video card can go much higher than that, but I perfer performance to quality (usually :) ) and with that resolution its big enough to see everything, but small enough for my video card to keep my fps at 80-100 on all maps.

                      My system specs are

                      Shuttle sn25p
                      3700+
                      msi x800xl
                      1gig stickof ocz 2-3-2-5
                      22" dell crt

I could easily run a really high resolution with no problems but i dont i have played games since CS beta and i always played at 1024x768 i think its much clearier and its easier to aim.

Can't play anything else really... I have a 19 inch monitor and playing higher resolutions makes everything appear "smaller". I think 1024*768 is the best all around resolution. Of course, thanks to my 6800GT 256MB I crank up all the details up plus x4AA, etc.

I find 1024 on a 19" looks cack so I play at 1280 because it's much sharper and far more suited to the screen size. It runs fast enough so why compromise on eye candy unless you really have to?

                            Personally I think

                            17" 1024
                            19" 1280
                            21" 1600

Alright i have a Dell2005FPW and could have the resolution at 1680 x 1050, but i run the game at 1152x864 i think it is, for two reasons, one; the game doesn't support resolutions above 1152, can you guys please fill me in. and two; i have texture distance up to 100% and AA at 4x so im not complaining at all. How do you guys get the resolution up to 1280?
