How important is a good mouse? (noobie question)

The Razer Diamonback is on sale at Best Buy this week for $50. I picked one up and like it a lot so far! I was using a Microsoft wireless intellimouse explorer, but the Razer feels more precise and glides across my mousepad much easier. I think I still like the intellimouse for desktop use due to the button locations, but the Razer is better for gaming, IMHO. With USB ports on my monitor it's pretty easy to switch to the Razer when it's time to game :)

Very important, but then again it depends on the kind of person your talkin about. To me, a good mouse never twitches randomly or has a very low sensitivity.

Good mouse helps a lot. It's more faster and still has great accuracy. Razer was my weapon of choice.

Keep in mind that one must have good reflexes and got some skill to be a good player. I can admit that I'm just mediocre player, but mouse helped a lot.

Any of you guys ever have a problem with the left mouse button on your MX 310/500/510 sticking after prolonged use? I'm on my 4th mouse after about a year.

Some good mouses cost way too much, so I just settle for a cheap cordless mouse.
