I must ask what isn't n00bish in BF2 anymore? There aren't many things left, that's for sure.

Everything you do is either n00bish or "whoring"

I don't know why they didn't call it "Battlenoob 2 - Revenge of the Whores"

It's a little annoying to line up on a guy and pick your shot only to see him launch a rocket at you, then *BOOM* dead. But, hey, it's in the game and it works, so more power to them I say. The only problem I see is, I think the people who do this are largely fooling themselves. While in a one-on-one situation, you've definitely got the one-shot-one-kill advantage, over the course of a round it's gotta be very, very difficult to rack up kills this way.
LOL, now I'm a noob for doing this? I started getting good using the rockets against personnel, because I was usually running around with it out, chasing a tank, when a soldier would be shooting at me, and I didn't have enough time to change to the MP5, so I'd use the rocket instead. Originally, I missed many times, but now I am very deadly with it, and use it to take out infantry, snipers, tanks, vehicles, choppers, and even planes dumb enough to get to low to the ground.

Yes, it was in the beginning, but after observing where the rocket went at different distances, it's starting to be second nature to aim the rocket at where it wants to go, so now I can take out distant snipers, supply boxes next to an enemy tank, etc. It just takes patience, nerves of steel under fire, but I have gotten good at that.

On some maps, like close combat Karkand, that may be true. For the most part however, I'm in the top 5 scorers in my game. If another player racks up more kills, I don't give a crap. I'm having fun shooting rockets into people's faces...

ALWAYS? Then they can't be that annoying too you can they? They must be missing you alot , or getting teamkills or something. I guess I do pretty well then, cause I'm rarely on the bottom.

Or, are a lot of people just playing AT because they enjoy the class and if they run into inf. they figure their launcher is more effective than the carbine?
I use the rocket as an opener, and it's nice to see that it intimidates some players. I want them to know my name, because when they see me, they'll brace themselves for the opening rocket, which will hit them 75% of the time, then I'll close in with the unlocked shotgun, and finish them off.

The main reason I use it though, as stated above, is because I may be hunting tanks/vehicles and I'm suddenly faced with an infantry I didn't expect and shoot a rocket, then switch to the shotgun if necessary.

Anyone who calls the AT miissle a noob cannon hasn't learned the right and left "sidestep" keys yet.

I mean come on...the missle launch has a flash, followed by an extremely long "shoot over here line" that everyone on the whole damn map seems to see. I swear it a little icon pops up on everyone's screen "shoot the AT guy over there hiding behind the crate" everytime I fire.

If a noob is firing the AT missle, a simple step 2 feet to the right or left will cause them to miss. If you run sideways, jump, do the stupid flip/prone bs, and still get hit, you got nailed by someone who actually has a clue how to get the missle to track around, and should be honored that they took the time away from blowing up the bh to take your ass down.

The AT missle is the best anti-prone/anti-sniper weapon in the game. If your sitting there prone trying to snipe/shoot people and get nailed by one...try crouching or moving around once in awhile. Its hilarous how many people will just sit still and watch the missle fly at them in slow motion, even at extremely long ranges. Its especially fun shooting medics. If someone is going for a revive, fire off a missle...you'll get a double kill.

Btw every vehicle in the game seems to have a "instant death spot" accessible by the AT missle. The tank vent behind the turrent, underneath the APC, inbetween the pilot seats in the BH, etc etc. If your in a full health vehicle and get blown up in a single shot, its not BS, its just someone who knows where to aim.

If you think its BS, trying being AT for a few maps...you'll get so frustrated at dying constantly due to your lack of anti-infantry weapons and giant "follow this line and shoot the guy at the end of it contrail" that you'll probably never pick up the class again.
