If you're constantly getting killed by SRAW's and Eryx's perhaps you should consider; moving.

I use the Eyrx as a sniping weapon if the situation warrants it. Yesterday on ,Mashtuur (sp) there was one corner which enemies would come around and just lay prone trying to kill me while I was pretty far away. Obviously my SMG is next to useless so I whip out the Eryx and nail them one by one. One person complained but it basically came down to me telling him off.

It was his own fault for not knowing how to play the game. He played into one of my main advantages; lying still and not moving. Had he charged me or strafed me I would've wasted all my ammo before hitting him and probably wouldn't have even tried. There is nothing un-manly about retreating.

All is fair in love and war.

As long as it hurts the enemy, everything goes .

the mp5 is no match for a ak47, why not use rocket, it gets the job done.

I don't know about all of this now. I play AT nightly and usually attempt hold the top 5 spot in scoring from kills unless I am having a really bad night.

Once you get armed with the DAO 12, you are set to own. 5 shots or less into an oncoming enemy will make them kiss canvas. It is a feared weapon only flawed by range and the opponent exploiting bunny hopping and insta-prone accuracy fire. Any enemy going toe to toe with you using this weapon unless they are armed with a DAO 12 or very skilled with their weapon will in most cases lose to you.

Plus if push comes to shove and you are caught with having to reload both your DAO 12 and your sidearm, you can pull out your rocket for a quick kill too.

AT if played correctly is a very dangerous class to be up against.

Shewt, I use AT alot to take out ground forces. Also, this game is heavily vehicle-based (obviously) and what better way to say hello to an enemy vehicle than with a couple of lbs. of high-velocity explosives?
            Tanks?
            check.

            Jeeps?
            check.

            Choppers?
            check.

            Infantry?
            check.

            APCs?
            check.

            AA?
            check.

            RIBs?
            check.

            & etc.

            Good. Clean. Fun for all.

              This is incorrect.

The old M79 grenade launcher was called the "Bloop Tube" because of the sound it made when it fired. "n00b tube" is a derisive derivative of this appelation.

Since the "n00b tube" is properly used elsewhere, and given the general shape of an AT weapon, it's proper that AT weapons are called "n00b cannons".

If players are getting owned by AT's rockets, there is something wrong with their gaming, not the AT.

Any AT user with their unlocked kit is going to rely mostly on their DAO 12 vs using a rocket against an infantry target. It is only those that like to cradle behind some form of protection that will present an opportunity for a rocket to be used against you or if you are just a goof and just "stand there" also will warrant a rocket to get you just for looking like a complete dope and standing out in the open for all to shoot at.

Players tend to forget that AT does not have the use of hand grenades to blow away targets and unlike the assault kit, you have no reticle to use against a target unless you look through your scope and that slows your player down.

So to call it a noob anything is more of a whine than a legitimate gripe. Learn to either return fire more accurately or get out of the way.

You would've been boned anyways. AT is pretty much useless unless used in tandem.

I have more success blowing up vehicles with the 'nade launcher (sad, I know), so I end up using the rockets to overkill annoying soldiers (esp. medics in the middle of reviving, lol)

And this is a lil off topic, but is it true that if you shoot a rocket it will explode?

The BF2 AT-vs-People is not nearly as deadly as the BFV RPG/LAW.

Nothing worse than getting owned by the Tank Whores. The AT class is a great
class, you have the option of using the same weapon on people and vehicles.

I shoot people all the time with the AT kit and there is nothing Noobish about it.

Yea its being used a lot, but to tell the truth I dont really mind. If it was that effective I'd be doing it myself.

At range its easy to see the rocket coming and avoid it, close up its often easy to avoid, and even if they do kill you they are screwed if you have mates close by.
