Fav Assault Rifle

I personally prefer the M16A2 at mid to long ranges, 3-round bursts own at mid-long ranges, but it kills the M16 at close ranges, the others own at close ranges, so my overall fav is M16A2, i usually kill people at longer ranges, so the others don't do so good at longer ranges, plus it has a GL unlike the G3. My second fav is the AK101, it has more accuracy than the others (not M16), and it owns up close. The L85A1 is good because it has scope, but that has horrible recoil, and even up close with full auto u will lose to a M4.

Here's my list of ARs from fav, to least fav.

1. M16A2: Great for longer ranges, accurate, and has small recoil.

2. AK-101: So good up close, and can still kill at med ranges easily.

3. L85A1: No GL because the medic doesn't have one anyways, and has a scope, horrible recoil though.

4. AK-47:it's the master at close ranges, still reletively easy to kill at medium ranges.

5. G3: Has 2 less mags than the M16A2, and has only 20 rounds in a mag, it only holds 100 rounds (20+4x20= 100) compared to the M16A2s 210 rounds (30+ 6x30=210). And it loses the GL, that's why i'm not going to unlock it for a very long time.

I tend to not use the rifles too much because I am usually tanking or something, but I find my preference in rifles to be situational.

For larger levels I like the L85 and M16 because they are the most accurate of all the rifles.

For medium to small levels the AK-101/AK-47 are great because they are accurate enough for ranges in those levels. They do enormous amounts of damage at close range. There was once when I captured the construction yard in Sharqi Peninsula by myself because the AKs are so powerful at close range.

According to the stats the G3 is a pretty bad gun. It is the most inaccurate out of all the rifles (by a large amount), only 3 more damage than the AK-47, no grenade launcher, and only a 20 round magazine. Still, there is something strangely appealing about it to me.

If I had to list the rifles in what I consider overall best here is my list.

1. AK-101: Great all around weapon, decent range and extremely powerful.

2. AK-47: Similar to the 101, only slightly less accurate and slightly more powerful.

3. L85: Very good at long ranges because of the scope, and at medium ranges it is a perfect headhunter. However at short ranges the the recoil can be too much.

4. M-16: I know some people who are great with this rifle, but the burst just does not work for me. While it is preferable in some cases over the L85 because of it's longer range, I still do not like it's short range performance.

Thus my vote, AK101. I down people so quick with that thing, its awesome. Although the M16 with a single shot is pretty good too.

DUDe u most be kidding the Ak101 PWNs ALL... At any Range,man i have shot sinpers with it and hit and med to cost theres no wep to stop it. Dude the Ak101 has a Calibre, mm of 5,56. Thats Large, in real life 1 hit is 75% DEATH!, Man if only bf2 had the ak103 which is 7.56..damn!

I prefer the AK's over M16's. I do like the M4 but hardly ever use it. I think my shots are more accuarate when I use AK's. As for the L85 I unlocked. Used that for maybe 2 hours tops and now I dont touch it.

Yeah, the M16A3 has full auto, but the M16A2 and the M16A4 are burst, semi and safe. Marines are starting to use the M16A4, but the M16A3 is not to be adapted for the military. They stopped using full auto rifles after the soldiers panicked and got trigger happy. But it's a game, people are trigger happy, they like it and such, but i like the burst fire, great for longer ranges, but horrible at close range, for all i know, a M4 or even a MP5 could take that thing on and win.

I love G3. It eats M16 on all ranges. Great accuracy and stopping power. The only thing is not to go trigger happy or you end up empty in 2 secs. I don't miss GL that much. You can hurt people with grenades to.

I really like the G3, but do miss the GL sometimes when using it, however the ak-101 rapes all IMO.

Ak101 all the way I got my best round in karkland just because of it I went 60 and 10, and with only 4 teamwork points for flag captures.

AK101 is a really good gun but I prefer good old fashion M4 which the Spec Ops use. Comes with a scope and is very accurate when shot in single mode.

You know I used to agree with you on the M16 but just recently I am finding it becoming my fav weapon. I used to find the 3 round burst got me killed a lot in up close fights due to the other guy going full auto spray and pray but what I am finding now is I seem to be making my bursts count far more rather than trying to spray. I am sure it is increasing my precision on up close shooting not being able to go full auto. of course I could just have been having a lucky few days play :)
