Frosty, I think I see where he's going with this one. According to the (leaked) beta editor help files, what these numbers indicate is the amount of deviation added when the weapon is fired, zoomed or not.Originally posted by Thugnasty4lifeObjectTemplate.deviation.setFireDev 1.7 0.2 0.08 (should be set to 3 zeros)
1.7 = max deviation added by firing
0.2 = amount added per shot
0.08 = deviation subtracted per second when not firing
(I'm doing this from memory, so forgive me if there's a mistake in there. I'm 99% sure that's right)
What Thug is suggesting is that if you set those to zero, then the bullet always goes where the gun is pointing (clever people will put a little spot of tape in the centre of the monitor), but the recoil will move where the gun is pointing.
Whether this is good or not is beside the point. I kind of like it, but I know that I'll get owned if this is done. My reflexes aren't all that good. A little randomness is good.
Anyway, I like the changes you've made, though I haven't tried the mod yet. It's an impressive list.Comment

AMAZING MOD! Guys that is a real archivement, I'm just heartbroken (lol) that EA didn't make it like that... It's just the little things that change a game; the sound of a weapon, and simple things like the movement and gameplay.
I give that mod 9.5/10, you still need to fix alot of things, some of the buttons are in german and have missing text strings.
Also when u fire on the sniper it zooms in after firing, I would prefer it to stay IN the scope when reloading and stay at the same zoom setting.
Also the engineer's submachine gun sounds like some heavy machine gun.
I LOVE the sounds of the rifle and the sniper rifle.Comment

This might work if we could make aiming the way it's done in OFP and in Infiltration for UT99.Originally posted by 80083rFrosty, I think I see where he's going with this one. It's what they call "freeaim" where you can actually move the weapon slightly BEFORE the rest of the screen moves. Meaning, no more tape on the centre of the screen to aim with while out of aim mode.
Wether this can be done at all remains to be seen.Comment
