I know that people are pissed about the tanks, and I really am working on a solution. So far the only thing I could come to was a manual gear change, which has never been done before, and I think I might be making progress. This means you'd have to change the gears of the tank manually (omfg you might have to press the number keys!1111), this would help get the true top speed of the tank on lets say flats, but would let you go damn slow in the streets. I'm not promising anything because I still don't know if it's possible.

And WHERE is it you can't see the mod? If you're talking about the server window then you're right. You won't be able to see BFE on there yet...
Click on the COMMUNITY button then on CUSTOM GAMES.
OR, you can use the BFE MS-DOS-command file located in the BFE folder.
You can drag and drop that to your desktop and make it a shortcut to launch BFE.

If you're still not seeing the mod then something went wrong with your installation of BFE, read on for some more info.

The path to install BFE is (default) c:\program\ea games\battlefield 2\mods\
You will want to make sure that BFE is installed in the mods folder

Alright.. this is the first time ive ever tried any of this.. i have no idea how to even start this.. so could somone tell me how to install from start step by step n noob language for the .66 mod thing and how to play when im n the game ect.

And is it even worth it to get with low settings?

It won't look too different from vanilla BF2 except for the missing HUD items and the suspiciously absent crosshairs! :laugh:
So if you enjoy vanilla BF2 I see no reason why you should not love BFE!

To install using WinRAR:
Doubleclick on the bfe_066 winRAR archive.
Inside WinRAR select the bfe.06 folder by clicking on it once.
Click on the Extract icon
In the Extract window you will have to browse to where you originally installed BF2. Default path to install bfe is c:\program\ea games\battlefield 2\mods\
Once you've clicked the mods folder open you are set.
Click OK

Once bfe is extracted into the correct folder use Windows Explorer and browse to c:\program\ea games\battlefield 2\mods\ bfe.06\levels\
In the levels folder there's an MS-DOS-commandfile. Doubleclick and it will copy the levels from BF2.

Now you should be al set to play. As I wrote in another post there's an MS-DOS-command file called BFE in the bfe.06 folder that you can use to launch bfe.

PLEASE I NEED PEOPLE TESTING THIS, my server and clients are working now for me

delete any mod files and Install the mod with my install instructions(http://forums.totalbf2.com/showpost....&postcount=234) AND DELETED THE FILES std_archive.md5 and levels.md5 in mods/BF2 and in mods/bfe.06. YOU MUST DELETED IN BOTH FOLDERS (make a backup before) AND TRY TO CONNECT with 81.60.135.61. This is a test server only for test the connection, probably your ping is so bad and will be laggy. Please post here if you can connect

I get the CTD after verifying client.

I Ctd when just after I press join on trying to connect to the test server in the post above. I'll try again in the morning(sp?) and also this mod rocks
