The game assigns a percentage of "error" on every round you fire. This error gets worse on long bursts.

Add lag to the mix and you pretty much nueter (spelling?) all the fine weaponry.

You kill some and you die some. Everyone is happy.

I personally prefer accurate physics of the different weapons and use lag as a factor. But apparently the whining from the nooblets who cannot understand the concept of cover is too much for our developers.

I noticed this. Sometimes I start shooting at someone first, with a gun equal to theirs when all the shots hit them and they turn around and shoot me like once and im dead, and i had full health. I dont understand that

i think that depends on the targets direction and the weapon of choice....its easy to hit someone int he head when they run at you...good luck when they are sprinting sideways......a pkm doesnt need headshots really jsut unload if u have to and u should get em.

For the first two bullets make it so the top of the clear area inside the crosshair is near the neck/collar bone area. The clear area inside the crosshair represents where your bullet might land depending on the deviation for that weapon/stance/and shot ex: first shot, second shot..... if you decide to hold the trigger for the 3rd and 4rd bullet move the crosshair down towards the stomach area. If you hold the trigger any longer.. aim for the knees and away from the target. The bullets will go outside of the crosshair, so naturally anywhere you aim you will not hit. So aim where you want the spray to land and not the crosshair.

...or do I just suck? Seems like I get 1 shotted 75% of the time, yet, when I shoot at someone clearly in my sights, NOTHING happens, short distance, long distance, whatever... It just gets frustrating! :)

I find that if you use any gun long enough, it doesn't seem to matter how inaccurate it was to start with. It will become second nature, and by trial-and-error you will learn when and where to use a particular gun, and all of a sudden start becoming elite with it.

I did this in CS with the Dual Pistols, p228, Mac10, UMP45, TMP and lastly the shotgun. It took me awhile and I forced myself to take the hit in score and not to fall back on the guns I was used to, and eventually my score went back up to it's normal status, and I was using so-called "inaccurate" crap guns as good as the M4/AK47.

I like that not every weapon in CS or BF2 is a headshot machine. It makes you learn to use the weapon with all its faults and strengths, and eventually you can start to own with it.

Just play more, notice what happens when you do something, when you miss, when you hit, where you were, how far, etc.

I think that your PING and your FPS have the most to do with how well you play sometimes. If these two things are worse than who you're shooting at, then you really don't have much of a chance....

Well I pick servers that don't lag over time and are within 100ms ping. I just unlocked the medic rifle and I am learning still how to use it. I saw a spec ops at maybe 20-30m and I start shooting at him... Landed maybe 3 shots out of 8 or so as he was moving around. I see him dive and BOOM i'm dead... From an M4. I don't think he ever saw me while he was running around. I just don't get it...

I do something similar pretty often with my m95 because I learned it, but heck this is just too much... It makes me think sa80 really sux.

whats your mouse sensitivity? Just curious. For me,a low mouse sensitivity allows me to more accurate.

If your sniping wait for them to pause before shooting to make sure you land the shot, if you dont get them first time wait until they have finsished panicking before firing again. Theres not point being trigger happy with a sniper and never hitting because the target never calms down enough to stop and think, thats when you fire

Yes this bugged me for a long time, I would have the crosshair square on them and unload a clip into them and they would turn and shoot me with what seems like one burst.

I have come to believe that in auto mode having the crosshair on them does not necessarily mean a hit, I think it just means you are spraying bullets in that general direction.

Since I have changed my gun to single fire and just tap those shoots out I have been getting a load more kills. In single fire with the crosshair on the target I generally drop people with 4-5 shots. In Auto mode the cross hair is ver inaccurate.

Don;t know if this is right but from my observations Auto mode seems to be spray and pray.
